No trip to Anaheim is complete without a stop off at the Pizza Press. I don’t get to travel to Anaheim often, but the Pizza Press is on the MUST VISIT list when I do get out this way. We drove over 3,000 kms (yes, I measure in kms, I’m Canadian) with 3 hangry kids in the car and this pizza hit the spot! The pizza is so fresh tasting, made right in front of you, the pizza oven is right there for you to see your fresh pizza pop out of the oven like a fresh daisy. The pizza crust is like a thin crust but it’s not crunchy and dry like some thin crusts that taste like Soda crackers. It’s fresh tasting crust and toppings, and it’s absolutely perfect for folding over in half. With 3 hangry kids, this pizza was demolished in a few minutes - entire family fed, feeling satisfied, and not chewing on each other waiting for food to be made - did I mention how fast they made our order? It was lightening fast service - my kids didn’t even get a chance to start wrestling each other out of boredom waiting for our order - which is amazing because no one wants to see that. Anyways, we’ve eaten here two nights in a row and no one is left feeling greasy, heavy, or bloated afterwards. It’s a great pizza place, in fact, I’m hoping the Pizza Press decides to open a location in Calgary, Alberta 😉😉

You really, really want to like a place in these challenging COVID times with limited hours, menus, seating, and ever changing restrictions for everything to try and reduce the spread of COVID-19. This location on Harbor Blvd in Anaheim across from the Disney Resort which has been closed so to say theme park and hotel closures has hurt their business is an understatement. That said you would THINK you would be met with enthusiasm and hope your experience overall was great, but I am sad to report that, for the money spent, it is average at best. And average during this pandemic is a sure fire way to business closure, especially in the restaurant world. I ordered in person. This was my second attempt to order. Last week I tried to order on a 3rd party web site they link you to from their company site and I was instantly confused. When I figured out what I wanted (they have a pizza wings deal for $11), I noticed it said my wait time was 50 minutes. So i cancelled the order, went in. They were empty and prepping NO ORDERS from on line or phone sales so I wondered how my on line order could have been a 50 minute wait. I asked about the special I wanted and they had no such thing on their menu so I double checked to make sure I was on the right site and I had been. Even after showing it to them, they wouldn't honor the price. When adding up what it would cost me to order there it was double so I said "no thank you" and left. Attempt 2: Last night, knowing the pricing, I tried it anyway. Ordered THE HERALD PIZZA and an order of six habanero-mango wings. The wings were pre-cooked and taken out of their fridge put on a metal try and put on the same oven conveyor as the pizza. Since no indoor seating is the rule in CA currently, I was the only person there and sat outside in an unlit patio. Every single chair was nightmarishly dirty and, what little light was reflecting off the black wood slatted tables, there was food grease, food remnants, and other particles on every single one of them. I went back in got paper towels and soap, found one, apparrently new shiny black metal chair I cleaned a layer of dirt from and sat there. Went to get food through the patio door and it was locked. I had to walk around to front to the open door even though staff members saw me try the locked side door. I washed my hands in their blocked off restroom properly before eating. Overall FOOD REVIEW: Very good. Better than Blaze or even Domino's and both brands are much better tasting and a better value. I went to throw trash away and notice the can inside the lid was almost full and there was food waste below my feet. I was there until 10pm when they close. At 9:53pm a group of 3 tried the front door, it was locked, so they left. At 9:54pm, a taxi drive got out and the door was locked and he went around to the side where I was and someone inside realized he placed an on line order and handed him the pizza. He asked the employee if they were closed and they said no. He then asked why the front door was locked and told them about the other people that tried it and left. Then a young lady from the counter inside said "NO WE'RE CLOSED." As he walked by me he shook his head and sarcastically said "I guess business here must be awesome." No it is clearly not. I doubt this location will last this downturn based on the food, prices, cleanliness, and their daily business plan of closing early. FYI. I saw every employee there leave minutes later leaving every dirty surface, full garbage cans, and food waste on the patio behind for I guess the overnight janitorial service to take care of? I am not going back to find out. P.S. I only took this picture. I wasn't really thinking of the review . Wish I had taken more.

After catching an exhilarating Angel's baseball game, my appetite was ravenous, and I decided to consult Google Maps for a nearby dining spot. That's when I stumbled upon The Pizza Press on S Harbor Blvd in Anaheim, and let me tell you, it turned out to be the perfect choice for a post-game meal! The real highlight - their chicken wings! Crispy on the outside, tender and succulent on the inside, these chicken wings were an absolute delight. The flavors were on point, and each bite left me wanting more. Of course, we couldn't resist trying their signature pizzas as well. The option to customize our own pizza was a fun experience, and the result was outstanding. The crust was just the right balance of crispy and chewy, and the sauce and toppings were fresh and flavorful. It was evident that they take great care in crafting their pizzas with quality ingredients. The Pizza Press also boasts an excellent selection of beverages, including local craft beers, which perfectly complemented our meal.

The Pizza Press was recommended by many as one of the best places to get pizza near the Disney parks so I made it my personal mission to try some while down in Anaheim. I love the unique press machine! My husband and I shared the Sun (red sauce, mozzarella, honey smoked ham, bourbon bacon, aged sharp cheddar, pineapple, grape tomato, scallion, $12.95) with added pepperoni. It took about 5 minutes from the time we chose our pizza to when it was done cooking! The one pie was the perfect size for two to share. I absolutely loved how all the ingredients blended so well together. There was just the perfect amount of toppings. In my opinion, much tastier and a bang for your buck compared to any pizza you can get in the theme parks. The entire menu sounded delish. They also have several salads and sides available for order as well as plenty of beers on tap. I would def stop by Pizza Press again if I'm ever in Anaheim and would recommend to anyone looking for a cheap, quick and yummy bite!

I LOVE THIS PLACE!! Being new to this area, my co-worker suggested that we all order from pizza press - and it has been the best lunch decision yet! It's his go-to place and my new favorite personalized pizza place! Very similar to other build-your-own pizza places, but something about their ingredients and sauce - BLOWS MY MIND. I've now had pizza press twice, and I got the same thing both times. Second time, I brought my husband and he had me order the EXACT same pizza as mine, 'cause it's just THAT freakin' good! So what's my secret recipe? It's all veggie - but this is what I get and what I'll probably stick to, 'til the end of time: *Base Layer: Red Sauce *Cheeses: Mozzarella & Aged Parmesan *Extras: Roasted Garlic Cloves, Sun-dried Tomatoes *Vegetables: Red Onion, Crimini Mushrooms, Roasted Bell Pepper, Spinach *Finishers: Basil Pesto (heavy) & Wild Arugula Love that it's a set price to add anything and everything that you want in a build-you-own. So worth it!

Sooo, I may have caught the girls working on a bad day , or maybe 11 was too early to be making pizzas but there was 2 girls one smaller one who was running the register she had a weird little attitude and kept making remarks to a second coworker. I didn't order all kinds of food just a kids cheese pizza for my daughter. So I'm not exactly sure what happened before I got there. But they happened to leave us by the front by the beer taps I'm guessing they might have been mad about cleaning up because there was a bunch of fruit Flys by the beer taps. It was a half cheese pizza a weirdly hard cookie and a small juice. IT WAS NOT A FLUKE !! THE PEOPLE WORKING HATE THEIR JOBS AND YOU CAN TELL !!!!! [Context attempted to give them a chance and with a staff that was different then my previous trip, and it was about 80 time worse, I'm guessing over worked and under staffed , hire more people cuz your overworked staff is loosing you money ]
