Pros: Location to Disneyland Plenty of food options in walking distance Kids had fun at the pool Staff were friendly
Cons: Musty moist rooms Roaches Ants Carpet that turns your feet black Tight quarters
The only Grand Legacy this place should have is being a literal Roach Motel. This was the 2nd time we stayed at this hotel. First time they were in the middle of renovations. We had an older room so didn't think anything of the issues cause they should be fixing them. We're 90% sure carpet and furniture are the exact same. Mattresses at least looked newer when we checked for bed bugs (luckily none were found).
Went to check in after the 4pm check in time and only 1 of our 2 rooms were ready. To make up for it the parking fees were waived. Cool, that's no big deal for us as we had no plans. Short time later second room was ready. Head down to the rooms. Room was musty and chemical smelling as soon as we walked in. Turned the AC down to circulate the smell out while I moved the car. Wow those spaces are tiny! I had to move my car back up front to the handicapped spot as the 2 by the room were taken and I couldn't get out of the car in the regular spot. Come back to the room to the chemical smell gone but the mustiness stayed. Housekeeping walked by, we let her know, and she got Maintenance for us. Maintenance took the filters from the AC and came back about 10 mins later. Mustiness never left (ever). We debated switching rooms but were scared the next would be worse after reading some reviews. We decided to hop in the shower before bed to wash the travel day off of us and were either scolded or frozen. It was hard to find a good temp. Wake up in the morning feeling like we slept on rocks. Hubby said the pillows were so bad he woke up with his face hurting. Day/night 2 were same as the first. Some fun decided to stop by on night 3. We were first greeted by a note on the door that the fire alarm was going to be tested the next morning on our lazy day. I'm then laying in bed winding down from a long day at Disney when my nephew yells that a giant cockroach just fell from the ceiling into my bed. Cue panic attack. Hubby evicted it since it wasn't paying the bill and room was torn apart. No further unexpected guests were found. We closed the bathroom sink plug just in case but couldn't do the tub. The plug was broken so we shoved a washcloth in there so we could sleep. A long debate was had on if we were finally going to switch rooms or even move hotels. We convinced ourselves it was a one off event like how there always seems to be one super roach that manages to cross the pesticide line and live. Next morning cue fire alarm. This wouldn't normally be an issue just an annoyance but all together we were counting down the hours until check out. We were talking with my parents in the other room and we learned they also had freeloaders, ants.

Read moreThe room was moist, the beds were dry and seemed moist every time you slept on them. We found a cockroach in the bathroom one night and a cockroach in the bath room on top of the mirror another day. First day we were so tired and we didn't want room service since the day before we got the room super late which BTW they don't offer early check in. The lady at front desk looked at us with disgust every time we asked if there was any rooms available within 2-3 hrs apart. But we understood finally my dad asked a manager (which we didn't know he was at the time) and SUDDENLY they had a room and it wasn't check in time. So the other lady just didn't wanna give us a room. Back to the first night we were there since we were so tired we didn't want room service and we placed our do not disturb sign outside of the door. We had THREE different ladies knocking for service. ARE YOU SERIOUS?? My mom told them nicely in Spanish we don't want any and we already had one other lady come ask and they kept saying we were on the list. why?? I'm not sure. There was a hole in the wall by the table that was pretty busted and can't see it unless you moved the chair. So I'm not sure what happened there. When we told them about the cockroaches all they did is refund us with $100 which hasn't shown up yet. The only good thing about this place was the pool, excellent for little tiny kids. They can go in to it as high as 3 ft and still be able to walk past that would be good for regular pool goers. They also had a jacuzzi which was crazy hot! That day was fresh not cold but jacuzzi seems to burn unless you've sat in it for a while. The rooftop dinner was great but seemed WAYY too rushed for the time they gave us to eat. Kids are allowed but have limited options. They took a while about 20 mins to bring us the food out and once they did it took them about 10 mins to come back and tell us that the last call was about to happen and if we needed boxes. We also at that time didn't even have one of the dinners for one person. The food was good but wish we had a little more time. If you wanna try The fifth rooftop food I would stay some where else and walk to it. The walking distance to Disney was great but not at night when they have like 4 homeless asking for money right on the sidewalks. Every single night it was the same ones too. I would overall not really recommend this. We only stayed here since it was pretty close walking distance. But it was worse. I would rather stay at one of the hotels I've done in the past with a little more walking knowing my room and space is clean than close walking and knowing the room is trash. Never staying here again, I understand the building might be old but wow. The humidity, roaches and holes in the walls is crazy to me for a hotel is "one of the best" for near Disney. My whole family arrived back home and now we're all sick. So who knows what they have in...
Read moreWe booked this hotel for our family trip to Disney based on the great reviews we saw online, so we had decent expectations going in as this was our first time at this hotel, but unfortunately our stay was not great, not even decent, but actually the worst hotel experience I have ever had. When we arrived to our room on Thursday evening the room smelled musty with a slight hint of bleach, which we ignored. The smell continued the next day, and when we returned from the park the following night the laundry room next to our room was entirely flooded, pouring water out into the street. The next day our room smelled even worse, and we noticed the carpet near the closet and bed was dark. Upon further inspection the carpet was SOAKED and smelled badly. We opened the closet (that had been closed since day 1) and the smell was VILE. The walls and floor of the closet were flooded entirely and the drywall was visibly wet. We immediately called maintenance and a man came by in a few minutes to take a look. He asked us if we wanted to switch rooms and said he would go tell the front desk and be back in a few minutes. We packed up our stuff, waited 15 mins before calling the front desk to get an update, waited on hold for another 15 before walking up the the front desk. The front desk staff had no idea what we were talking about and said they would send maintenance to look at it, we explained they already had and we expressed how bad the smell was and our concern for mold. The girl at the front desk said she would have our room cleaned and to come back in a few hours. I said no, my mother has asthma and cannot stay in a flooded room. The water was not clean that was clear by the smell. She spoke with a manager and moved us to another room after we argued back and forth for a few minutes. The next morning while leaving to go to the park I walked by the room and 2 small kids came out. I cannot believe they put small kids in a room that could possibly have mold from standing dirty water and soaked drywall. On top of the flooding, our family who were staying 8 rooms down found multiple cockroaches in their room throughout their stay. They were not able to switch rooms and had to go buy their own bug spray to kill them and sanitize their luggage. Absolutely appalling that the staff were trying to force us to stay in a flooded hotel room with no compensation or offers for assistance and then put another family in the same room hours later after just using fans to blow out the smelly air and mopping up the carpet (which we saw them do after we moved rooms as the door was open while walking by). Absolute health hazard, will never be staying here again. Flooding AND...
