This my abbreviation message to the GM and owner!
(I have removed names and room numbers)
Mr. __ I wanted to email you directly or even call you but your front desk clerk at checkout(no name tag...Hispanic male wouldn't tell me his name) when asked he first pretended to not even know your name. A second desk clerk yelled your name from the back office area.... terrible guest service! Terrible!
Here is one highlight of my experience and a huge list of issues. My one highlight... gentleman who took my information early in the morning was very nice as was the valet! Unfortunately He told me I would receive a text message when the room was ready... that never happened.. but it was ok... because he found a room with a view (one of my two rooms)for my inlaws rm under ____________.... The room was very worn but I guess it was ok for two tired 75 year olds.
*main issue with this room _ rate billed incorrectly
Now to my room experience... Pre checked into room and valet at 11am.
my family did not get back from park until around 11pm. The agent who checked me in at this pointwas obviously watching the clock to go home...because he never listened to me at all about my room charge question and just shoved a sheet of paper at me to sign and get me out so he could leave.
I called back down multiple times from around 11:15 through nearly midnight to no one answering the phone. So I went down to the lobby.... The night agent seemed nice but honestly seemed to have a diminished mental capacity due to his complete erratic behavior ....he constantly talked to the computer... threw his hands around making yelling sounds when he couldn't find a pen and then could not find the radio (turned out to be in his sweater) to call housekeeping.... could not stop talking to me about a previous guests' credit card chip issue...i asked if there was another agent to help me he was so erratic. There wasn't This was crazy for a hotel across from Disneyland park when the park is open until midnight nightly! There were people stacking up behind me 5 deep. Here was my list of issues from my absolutely terrible room! I was told there was no other room to move to but night agent!
Shower lever broker....had to hit with my shoe to get it unstuck to move to shower mode. I solitary towel for my whole family to use! Tampon in wrapper (unopened) beside our toilet when we first entered!!!!!
No linens for pull out bed( this And bar of soap r the item eventually brought to us around 1230am)
No soap at all in room!
items that r just my opinion*
Bed is terrible..mattress feels decades old Tub looks very worn Carpet seemed to not be vacuumed.. crumbs all around!
In 2017 the only plugs available for use were near sink.... UNBELIEVABLE!!!
I had to book this room for one night when we tried to extend our prior reservation from the Fairfield inn and the could not accommodate us....your hotel was closer so I booked one night!
This hotel room was not at all worth $200 a night... maybe...
Read more*READ THIS BEFORE YOU BOOK, it will save you time and a headache. I booked a 2-night room stay through Hotels.com. I paid on Hotels.com using the deposit option, which is basically payment for the first night. After I booked, I got a phone call from the front desk stating that my payment was incomplete and that I was only booked for one night and that they needed my credit card information to complete the booking. I thought this was weird, because I've booked using the deposit option before and never was required to give my CC info to complete a booking outside of the Hotels.com payment. I should have realized this was a red flag and cancelled right then and there. We ended up changing our stay dates, so then I had to cancel the booking anyway. It's been almost 3 weeks since I cancelled and I still have not gotten a refund for the one night. I reached out to Hotels.com and was told that I need to contact the hotel directly as they did the billing. The hotel told me that I needed to call Hotels.com and speak with them about it, because Camelot's policy was to "collect payment for the first night upon cancellation." BEWARE -- nowhere on the Hotels.com booking did it say that cancellation would result in forfeiture of fees paid for the first night. This so-called policy isn't even found on Camelot's website. What a joke, these are the exact words on the website ---- "Cancel prior to 48 hours of arrival to avoid a 1 night room and tax penalty charge." If you go back and look now at Hotels.com, it literally says "fully refundable" rate, and I got an email after I cancelled confirming that I would get a refund. The Hotels.com representative confirmed that my cancellation did NOT incur any penalties, as I cancelled more than a month ahead of the booking. According to the hotel's joke of a policy, I also cancelled way more than 48 hours ahead, so why should they keep the first night payment? This hotel has shady billing practices -- calling to obtain my CC info to charge me again, refusing to acknowledge Hotels.com policies and initiate a refund, claiming they have these "policies" that they just made up so that they delay or refuse to give you a refund, and now they're giving the run-around. My guess is that they've gotten away with bullying people out of getting their refund, so they keep doing it. There are other options -- Best Western, Tropicana Inn, Del Sol Inn, Park Vue Inn, the Grand legacy. I have never had any issues getting a refund whenever I had to cancel a refundable rate booking on Hotels.com. NOT TO MENTION -- they require "mandatory valet parking" and will charge you extra for checking in early (their check-in time is 4pm). They'll milk you for every possible penny. JUST DON'T, don't book here, heed my advice, you'll waste your time, go...
