I went with my family last Saturday to celebrate my bday and it was a horrible experience. I made my reservation 3 weeks in advance and I was told that they have 2 hours limit time, which it sucks and a limit for each person to spend! I asked if we can hang out by the bar, I was told to call again a little bit closer to the date to check if they will accept a walk in at the bar. I tried to call couple days before the event, and first of all it is really hard to contact them and I wasn’t ably to talk to them till a day before going there, and second when I asked to add 2 more people to my table, the lady on the phone was like oh we are fully booked but if if you don’t mind, we can squeeze 2 more chairs! I also asked her if there is a walk in at the bar, she said again that they don’t know, and I was like okay when can I know this information as we are coming tomorrow? She was like you can ask when you come. There were a lot of signs that this place service is bad, but I was like let me try it because it looks really nice in the pictures and some of the reviews were good. When we got there, we were told that we will not be able to go to the bar after the 2 hours limit because they have a big event there till 11 pm, and that surprised me because of course they knew this information ahead of time, but they didn’t want to tell me so I don’t cancel my reservation and show up there. Moreover, the service was extremely bad!!! There was only 1 server for a huge block! That server was ours and was very rude. He would come and stand away from the table where no one could bear him asking who wants to order drinks instead of going around and asking people politely. He didn’t even take my order till I caught him while going to the restrooms and asked him for a glass of wine. Half an hour later still didn’t get my wine. My husband had to get up and go around trying to find him to ask him about my glass of wine and his response was oh they are making it instead of apologizing and go grab it. My husband was like MAKING IT!!! It is only a glass of wine. After all that, the sever came and offered me either a free shot or a free dessert since it is my bday and we clearly told him that I want the dessert and he said he will bring it out after we are done eating! 15 mins before our limit time is over, another server came and asked us to leave and I was like where is the dessert and she acted that she doesn’t know what they usually offer for the bday person and was like let me go check. The first server came back with a shot for me! And I was like I told you I want the dessert! He didn’t even bother himself to apologize and take the shot and grab the dessert, nooo he was standing there telling me that I told the other server I wanted the shot and I told him that I told her and you that I want the dessert. He was like yes I know you told me that and still arguing!!! My husband and I were so pissed and I felt like my bday outing was ruined. To sums up, service is horrible and this place is so overrated! Next time, we are going back to our favorite rooftop and spot in Irvine Hive and Honey where you can enjoy drinks, bites and Dj for as long as...
Read moreWe drove up to Anaheim to use a park hopper at Disneyland & DCA. Staying at the Wyndham right around the corner, I was looking for a restaurant nearby that wouldn't cost an arm & a leg (i.e. typical Disney prices). The happy hour at The Fifth looked like a perfect choice and it had a view!
Unfortunately we couldn't get out of town fast enough so we had to push the 6:30 pm dinner plans to 8:30 pm, well past happy hour. Not a problem I thought. The reviews are good, and I'm sure the food is too.
There is one elevator in the Grand Legacy (that I could see in the lobby), and you ride it all the way to the top which is easily identified on the elevator's button panel. Once at the top, a hostess greets you and promptly seated us at our table.
It was quite busy and the sounds of laughter, clinking glasses and conversation filled the night air. Across the street, you could see the Guardians of the Galaxy tower as well as the back of Radiator Springs inside DCA. Cool view.
Okay, now let's eat.
My two daughters ordered the: Crafted Burger ($20) Chorizo Mac n Cheese ($18) Lemonade
For drinks, we ordered: Two (2) High Five Mai Tai's ($28) Brown Sugga Ale ($9) Watermelon Sugar High ($15) Sangria at the Fifth ($14)
For food, my wife and I ordered: Loaded Tater Tots ($14) Ahi Tacos ($14)
That was our mistake. I wanted a steak but I went with a cheaper option to curb the bill down a bit. The tater tots were absolutely terrible. If they had been amazing, then no harm done but they were just a big clump of potato, cheese & sour cream. The guacamole on top was brown and should have been tossed. We had to eat around it but ultimately just stopped eating. I did mention to our server that we didn't enjoy it.
My other daughter's Mac n' Cheese was passable but I didn't much like it. It's not worth $14 in my opinion. My daughter barely ate it.
The three (3) ahi tacos tasted pretty good. This makes a nice appetizer or happy hour item and I can see why they are mentioned a lot in reviews.
My daughter's $20 burger was pretty well epic. Wow, what a stunner. One of the best seasoned burgers I've had in a long time. My compliments to the Chef. Later on, my daughter refused to give me another bite when it came time to heat up her leftovers.
The Mai Tai was amazing, which is why we both ordered one. Sweet & strong tasting...perfection. The Watermelon Sugar High was just okay. I would not order it again. It didn't taste sweet or strong, so best to avoid this one unless that's what you're looking for. The sangria was good and plentiful.
Service was very good. The view was also good and there is an area on one side of the bar where there are just high-top tables (no chairs) - perfect for standing with a drink or snapping off a few pics of DCA across the street.
I would definitely come back to The Fifth, and order what I really wanted in the first place...and now I also know what to avoid...

I went with my gf with the intention to watch the fireworks as everyone has said here. I made reservations at 8pm and initially arrived at 7:45. There was no info online about parking. I assumed the hotel parking lot would accommodate restaurant guests, but they don’t. There is a huge sign noting only hotel guests with permits can park there. So I had to park in the GardenWalk parking lot 2 blocks away.
As stated before I made reservations online with instructions to sit at one of the tables next to the edge of the building with for a good view of the fireworks. However they sat us in the middle of the “restaurant” on the most wobbly table ever… even when there were multiple tables next to the edge of the building open.
I would say calling this place a restaurant is a stretch… it’s more like a desperate desire to be a rooftop club / bar that just so happens to serve food. The music was just all the popular TikTok hits and some random mixed in millennial music. It was also way too loud and you can’t hear anyone at your table. There was no dance floor or really anyone talking outside of their table group. The only upsides are that the men’s bathroom was pretty clean and it’s right next to Disneyland.
It took 10 minutes before a waiter came by to say hi. Another 5 for waters. Another 10 before we could order. And finally another 15 minutes before our food arrived with our drinks.
We ordered some chicken nachos, the cruela drink, and an espresso martini. The nachos were cold, soggy, and just average tasting… the bottom of the nachos were full of bean juice/water? The cruela drink tasted like drinking directly from a bottle of coffee creamer. The espresso martini tasted like the ones you get out of a machine at any bar.
Our waiter came by to check up on us twice but only addressed me and totally ignored my gf… it gave 1950s vibes…
We were so disappointed we ended up leaving before the fireworks. When I asked for the check the waiter tried to small talk me in hopes for a better tip after doing a horrible job. He then held the device while directly looking at me while I entered in my tip…
The total ended up being $70 for those 3 items only…
Overall: Food: 0/10 Atmosphere: 3/10 (only because of Disney) Service: 1/10 Parking:...
