Sorry no pics because the food smelled to good and I was hungry! Oops! The lines caln get long depending on when you go but tye service is fast and the food is excellent no matter what you get! Most recently I got two al pastor burritos and four asada burritos. After you order head to the salsa bar they have bags and little cups for everything. All the salsa is good, Red one is Spicer and the salsa Verde is great not to sweet like some places. They copped the asada very small so it's easy to digest. Sometimes you may get a little fat while chewing. I like getting the AL Pastor because it has the most flavor and it's very tender. The burrito is a little bit smaller when you get Al Pastor. People mostly get tacos when they go. Your taco comes with meat then you add the onions and cilantro at the salsa bar. They have Chirizo and other meats. I went back the next day and got nachos. It's alot and they cover the chips with an even layer of toppings I got half asada half pastor it was amazing. I also got a aguas jamaica and horchata both delicious! The pricing is great! There is dining inside and outside. When it's cold the put out heaters at night. Parking is pretty good but can seem tricky. This place used to be a Carl's Jr. Back in the day with a backwards drive thru. Then it was a middle eastern type food. But I always told my wife the only thing that will survive in this area is a good Mexican food place and sure enough this place has been going strong! Definitely stop by if your in Anahiem, CA they also have another one off LA...
Read moreMy wife and I had been looking for a good taco place to call our own, and we found that here at Los Gueros. Of course, there's plenty of other choices for Mexican food in Orange County, and California in general, but there's a few things we look for before we decide on making a place our "go to" spot for any kind of cuisine:
Why is flavor last? Because if you don't have the other two, you're not making the cut as a "go to" spot lol. The food here is delicious, it's close to home (open late to boot), and it's well priced. I get outraged when I see $5 tacos and $20 burritos at some to these places trying to fancy up Mexican food. The only downside for me is the cash only policy, but the make accommodations by having an ATM available.
Anyway, give this place a try if you haven't already. Remember to bring cash because ATM fees are expensive, and be prepared to wait if you go in the evening because there's...
Read moreRadishes. Sliced radishes in abundance. Onions and cilantro, chopped finely. Lime wedges galore (they only had lemons tonight though.) Fiery red and green salsas to further flavor your taco, burrito, and/or quesadilla. Pack them yourself while you wait for your order, but you won't be waiting long. This is a busy restaurant, but your number will be called quickly. Even if you had to wait, it would be well worth it.
Tacos al pastor for $1.10. Street tacos. Three bites max; two bites if you don't mind eating impolitely. Dress up your tacos with a squeeze of lime, a sprinkle of onion and cilantro, and hit it with the house red salsa, and that taco al pastor--the meat tender, juicy, and slightly charred--is as good as the finest steak I've ever had. Not really, but it's the tastiest taco al pastor I've ever eaten. Three fill me up; four and I'm stuffed. The best part? I spent less than $5.
Carne asada, lingua, chorizo, pastor, carnitas, and I may be missing one can be added to your taco, burrito, or...
