This is a COVID era review. Staff wore masks and gloves. There did not appear to be limited seating. We just moved to this area and were excited to learn that a Moe's was fairly close. But we were disappointed that we weren't welcomed with the big "Welcome to Moe's!" they are famous for. There was only one other customer ahead of us.
And speaking of this other customer, he was a tall fellow who leaned over the glass divider to place his order... with his mask down under his chin. Come on, people, we have to at least pretend we live on a planet with other people. Be mindful!
I guess we have been strangers to Moe's longer than I thought. Gone is the John Coctostan, and the humorously misleading Joey Bag of Donuts. The menu has been streamlined to Burrito, Jr Burrito, and Quesadilla, for the most part. Still have the white, gooey queso and trademark thin chips.
The food tonight was okay, by Moe's' standards. I got a vibe, though, from the preparers that they were a little bored. I'm trying not to call it disinterested. I can imagine it would be difficult to summon much enthusiasm after a long shift of repetitive activity, but it makes me wonder--will anyone's attitude change at all if they start making $15 an hour? It'll be the same job, and the same customers. Let us hope some of that enthusiasm will result in a more reliably friendly experience.
Update: happy, friendly staff tonight. The menu is still as lean as above, and the server who prepared my burrito crammed in as many ingredients as she could. I guess so the menu cutbacks will start in place post COVID, at least for the foreseeable. But at least I got a chorus of...
Read moreDownloaded the app and got a coupon for a free burrito from doing so. Went into the anderson location to stand in line for ten minutes. As my burrito was being rolled it split and the employee grabbed a new tortilla, without warming it, and squeezed the stuff from my old burrito on it. The process was disgusting to watch and she left half the toppings on the old wrap before tossing it in the garbage. My wrap then sat beside her a minute and a half before someone from cash came to grab it to ring me out. When I presented my phone with the app and code up for redemption, she informed me I would need to go on my computer to print off the coupon and bring in a paper copy for them to be able to honor it. I don't think the manager understands : A. What an app does B. The point of a "download the app for a free burrito" campaign is C. Decent customer service
I left without my burrito, I will never go to another Moe's again, and I am sharing my horrible experience with the inter webs...... Good call Mr. Manager😂
Save yourself the 15 minutes and go to chipotle(they...
Read moreSupport Moe’s! I’ve been a loyal Chipotle patron for years, however Chipotle has gone way down the drain since the pandemic, and I’m tired of it. They’re always out of ingredients, the staff is usually rude, and every store focuses more on carry out orders than the customers ordering in person.
I decided to try Moe’s tonight, and Moe’s is not like Chipotle in any of these ways. They greet everyone politely when each person walks in the door. Moe’s prices are cheaper than Chipotle and you get way more food. Build your own entrees are just $8.99 and Chips and salsa are included with each entree. They also offer specials such as Free Drinks on Mondays and Kids eat free at night on Tuesday.
This location is great! The staff is friendly, they build your order perfectly, and get the line reduced quickly. The restaurant is very clean and all of the ingredients are fresh. I definitely will be back and will not be giving my business to Chipotle anytime soon. Take my advice and...
