We've had our ups and downs here over the last 7 years. After another long break we returned yesterday for a special occasion. It was after 3 so I was prepared to pay higher prices but what I got was astonishing. There was four of us, 2 ordered a bottle of wine to share, quoted just $18.00. One mixed drink, and one tea. The server said she always serves water with liquor orders and we had 3 glasses of water on our table. Afterwards two of us agreed to pay the tab. I went first, I paid $110.00. The other person had a balance of $28.and change. I had my receipt emailed. When I got home, I reviewed it 🤯. $6.50 for a tea? $5.54 for each water (that we didn't even ask for)? We were charged for dipping sauce plus a refill which we did not order. The wine showed up as $9.50 charge x's 2. Every dish had an upcharge, 2 for chicken, one for shrimp and one for broccoli, seriously? WTH??? 8 bread sticks to go with a handful of mints. I added up my receipt and these charges totaled what I'd paid. So I'm left wondering what the other $28 bucks was for, there was nothing else! No appetizer or dessert, in fact we didn't have lobster, wings, steaks, salmon or anything of the like. We had pasta, salad and bread sticks people!!!!! No gold or diamonds to go. Lesson learned!!!! Yeah, service was amazing (btw she got a $40 tip, not too shabby, respect) as was the atmosphere and food. BUT don't add hidden charges, or serve and charge for what is not even ordered in the first place. I don't mind paying for what is ordered but I don't like shady and if I had been feeling better I would have asked for a detailed receipt before I'd paid, but I was under the weather and that's on me. I promise, it won't...
Read moreDecided to do the curbside pickup because of Covid 19 and sounded like a great plan and wanted to support our local restaurants while this is going on. It was about 8:25 pm and we ordered online and got the conformation email that the order would be ready at 8:53. Instructions stated that we should park as close to the front door as possible well all the cars were parked towards the back and behind because the orders were being brought out the back door but not a big deal so we parked right in front of the back door. A server came out and wrote our name down right away. Must have been about 15 cars waiting and then food came out to the car next to us and before we knew it the lot was about empty. After some more time the lot filled back up and once again the new car next to us got their food and the lot was once again about empty and I noticed the time was about 9:15 and I honked the horn when the server was outside and asked about our food and she said they are running about 45 minutes and I said it would have been nice if we had know that instead of 25 minutes. She said we would get our food when it was done. I had a bad feeling that our order got messed up and sure enough it became 9:30 and the lot was almost empty for the 3rd time! Finally after almost sitting there for an hour we got our food. It was so late when we got home we only ate our salads and saved the dinners for the next day. Also noticed that a 3.38 tip was built into the order! Normally we get to tip according to the service we receive but not this time. I can only say NEVER AGAIN! Totally...
Read moreWent to Anderson Olive garden with my family for the first time. Not a good experience. We waited forever to get our food. Our dirty dishes sat on our table for a long time. Waitress wasn't very good, she didn't refill drinks we always had to ask, then took forever to get the refills. We said keep the breadsticks coming that wasn't happening. 3 of us ordered the chicken parmigiana I asked for fettuccine with it instead of spaghetti, she said it would be a small charge. I thought maybe .50 to a 1.00, no 2.29 extra on all 3. She could have told me that. 1 person ordered a take home meal. They were out of the stuffed fettuccine, then she returns to say out of the regular fettuccine. I suggested can't she ( the waitress) make a small to go of the fettuccine, she had no clue what I was asking. Ridiculous. Then took forever to get my change. Then she acted like I was crazy for wanting my receipt.
So 78.66 spent for 4 people that day with poor service. Food was delicious.
I contacted corporate I'm assuming. They were very nice and apologetic. I'm assuming the manager from restaurant was supposed to email me the next 2-3 days never heard from the . This morning had a $30.00 virtual gift card from them. Doesn't no ways near compare to what I paid, but at least...
