I received very poor service at the Anderson, IN location. I purchased a shadow box and later saw on my receipt that I was not given the sale price. I brought my receipt in on 9/19 and was told that the shadow box was not 50% off because it was considered a papercraft, and that I would have to choose one at the back of the store to receive the sale price. I went to the area specified by the cashier (Teri) and chose a frame instead of shadow box. When I returned to the register Teri said the frame was not on sale even though there were signs in the area and the ad indicated that frames were on sale. I took the manager Jamie R. to the area where I had found the frame to show him the signs indicating that the frame was on sale. He said that even though there were signs to the left and right of the frame that it was not on sale because it was considered a wall hanging. I told him that the signs were misleading but he would not honor the price because the signs were place per corporate direction. Read moreI don't generally post any type of review with feedback that's negative. This was my first time going to the new Hobby Lobby. I wasn't very pleased with the employees that were on the floor. I asked two different female employees where certain things were located at in the store. The responses that I received from the both of them weren't what I was expecting. Both female employees pointed to an aisle and told me that the item was down there. I asked one of the employees if she could show me exactly where the item I was looking for was at. She gave me a look like I was asking her for a lot and she proceeded to show me where the item was at. My shopping experience wasn't all that great!! Read moreThe framing department staff were so unfriendly and irritated the past few times (for whatever reason) that after having had approx 7-8 dry mattes completed here in the past (which were well done, in these women's defence) I simply no longer will visit this particular store.
But I shall instead drive quite a bit farther to the Muncie store where I've encountered a much friendlier and warmer staff experience regarding the framing department/manager.
Now granted, I had only went to the Anderson Hobby Lobby store during the evening for the dry matting service.
Muncie HL was quite simply a better overall experience and I deserve to be treated better than unwarranted moodiness/frustration when interacting with this...
