Everything we ordered was on the screen correctly. Whopper no tomato meal- Medium fry Medium drink no ice

Plain double cheese burger 8pc chicken finger Chocolate Oreo shake

4pc nugget kids meal- Fry Pink frozen lemonade drink

Drove up to window. Paid. Hands white Oreo shake over and drink with no ice. We ask if this was chocolate, maybe in the dark we couldn't tell so we asked to verify if that was indeed chocolate. Just got stared at. So I asked again. And then again. Finally he took the drink back and brought back effectively the same thing with a little chocolate sauce mixed in. Then hands us food bag. We ask about the pink lemonade. Get stared at so we just want this awkwardness to be over and offered to pay for it. Got the lemonade and we did get it for free which would be nice until we got home.

Whopper had jalapenos on it, thrown out. No fry for the kids meal or any toy or anything. Just 4 nuggets in a small fry bag and nothing else. My plain burger was ok. Chicken fries were crazy stale and old.

Asked for a bacon king combo with mellow yellow, chicken nuggets, sprite, fries, 2 whoppers and a side salad. Wanted a salad dish so I could take bread out. Pulled away thinking there was another window to get food. I walk in and they give me 2 whoppers with no bread, mayo, ketchup, no mustard. They didn't have my salad or nuggets. Finally get all that to the car, my son laughs upset. He said they forgot the bacon. He told me not worry about it because he didn't want to wait 15 more min. He said but they didn't give you drinks. I go in and ask for them. They guy running orders tells the guy in drive thru. I stood there for a min and said if someone gives me my cups I can get my own drinks. I was there for over a half hour in total. They were so busy, it wouldn't have done any good to ask for my money back. It would have been no quicker. They took so long, I was late picking my daughter up and have to pay for after child care. I really so so frustrated I was almost in tears. The other guy ahead of me was apparently shorted food too. Was adamant we were never coming here again after last 1 1/2 years of poor, slow, filthy service. SHOCKER the restraunt has done a 180. Give the gentleman running Saturday June 14th @ 1:17 pm a substantial raise and keep him. Floors mopped, restroom clean and mopped. Kitchen area clean!!! Only stopped quick as hubby needed quick bite with Mega antibiotics Dr. wanted him on STAT. Very pleasant customer service, friendly to even my dog!!!! We will give BK a second chance again!!!! My husband went into restroom after grabbing our order in DT. We live 45 mins away but frequent Ankeny often as my mother resides in town. Thank you for having some much needed and appreciated CUSTOMER SERVICE nowadays!!! To top it all off I almost truly cried as my order was completely right the first time.
