I thought this was handled but it still isn't. The general manager said they were going to send us some gift cards to comp ups from this and we still haven't got any gift cards. This is bull, I'm contacting a lawyer now because of the medical bills.
If I could give a negative 5 stars I would! Tonight, my parents, wife and I went to have dinner. When we get there, there is a 15 minute wait. Not that a problem, we figured we would be waiting. We got placed Into our booth, it was about 20 minutes before our waiter came and took our drink order. My mom got sweet tea, my dad and wife got mountain dew, I got strawberry lemonade. My mom has a deathly seafood allergy. We ordered 2 appetizers, and our food. We physically waited 2 hours before our actual food came to our table. I was done with my drink before our appetizers came. Our waiter didn't even offer to give me a refill. We didn't even see our waiter again until he dropped our food off. I want to remind you my mom has a DEATHLY SEAFOOD ALLERGY! My mom was drinking her sweet tea and she looked at me and said this smells and tastes funny. I took her cup and smelled it and I also took a big drink, her cup smelled and tasted like fish water. Fish water if you are not aware of is water like in lakes and ponds where you can go fishing and the aroma is dead like being near or owning a fish tank. My mom's tea at this point is already half gone. We asked for our receipt and to talk to the manager. She was the lady who was the hostess, she was very rude and unprofessional. She asked what was up, we Informed her of the situation with the tea and my mom's seafood allergy. Said I don't drink tea I don't know what tea should even taste like, then she processes to not even look us in the face or eyes but stares at the ceiling for some reason. Then she processes to walk away and check us out. Still not looking us in the eyes. We left and I took my mom straight to the hospital to get her stomach pumped and to get an allergy shot. Read moreWe came at a busy time and they told us to give them a few minutes. We finally got our seats after around 10 minutes. We sat down and around four minutes later a woman came up and asked us for what drinks we wanted. We got the drinks pretty quickly after, then a few minutes later she asked us what food we wanted. We told her and we waited there for an hour without ever getting our food. We saw many families that we came before getting their food before us. My son counted 5 families. FAMILIES. A person who had came after us and got their food before us even noticed this and talked to the manager of the ihop and was talking to her about how it shouldn't happen and doesn't make sense. She simply apologized to him and said "our food would come shortly". We waited 10 more minutes. Nothing. Pissed off, we grabbed our things and walked to the doors and simply left. I can't tell if this was racism or what? I am a hijabi and the staff helping us were white Americans. Like I genuinely don't know why many people got their food before us??
TLDR; Horrible service, extremely slow. Like a snail could travel around Earth twice and the employees would still be "making the food". Never...
