If you don't already know, this used to be called Elvira's. Not much has changed other than the name on the outside of the building. Everything Inside still shouts the old name. Service was poor. Unbelievably slow! Bus boy was excellent, but waitress Yvette was unfriendly, and couldn't crack a smile to save her life. We asked if they had queso, and were told "no" even though it's listed on the menu. We saw at least 5 or 6 employees just standing near the cash register, while we sat and waited, and WAITED for someone to take even our drink order. There were only 7 tables with people in the entire place including ours. Food came out fairly quickly, but one plate was ice cold (even though she brought it with a hot pad), and the chicken quesadilla along with the burritos were bland, and totally flavorless. Quesadilla was nothing but shredded chicken(no seasoning what so ever) and cheese. Same with the burritos. No green chili or anything. Meat in a Mexican restaurant should have tons of flavor and flare! Not here. I'm not sure why they changed name, but ABSOLUTELY nothing else has changed. Don't waste your money here!

The service was non-existent. The lady who brought chips was the only one that appeared in a timely manner. Even they had only 4 tables with diners and 4 ladies in the reception area. No one bothered to come take my order, after about 10 minutes of eating chips & salsa, I was out of salsa (tiny bowl). I stood up and stared at the 4 workers chatting and standing around the front desk. Finally, someone was dispatched to take my lunch special order. I asked for carne asada street tacos (Taco Tuesday). The speed of order delivery was satisfactory, but it was plain tasteless beef, not carne asada. When I was done eating, again I waited and waited, finally got up and went to get my own small to go box. I never did get a bill, so I took my to go box up to the 4 ladies standing around the reception area, and they finally came up with a bill. It is obvious why Los Gringos is packed at lunch time, and Taco Giro had a total of 4 tables with lunch diners waiting for service, just like me.

My wife and I took our youngest son to breakfast and will be the last time everything was way overcooked and completely covered in oil as pictured service was great, but the food was blah, not worth the $$

I recently dined at Taco Giro, and I have to say, their seafood options are nothing short of spectacular! From the moment I stepped in, I was welcomed by a vibrant atmosphere and friendly staff, setting the stage for a fantastic meal.

I decided to try their pescado tacos and shrimp ceviche, and I was blown away by the freshness of the ingredients. The pescado was perfectly grilled, seasoned just right, and wrapped in warm tortillas that complemented the flavors wonderfully. The shrimp ceviche was a delightful mix of zesty lime, crunchy vegetables, and tender shrimp, making it an absolute must-try!

The presentation of each dish was beautiful, and you could tell that a lot of care goes into the preparation. I also appreciated the variety of salsas and toppings available, allowing me to customize my meal to my liking.

The service was prompt and attentive, with staff members eager to share their recommendations. They truly made me feel valued as a customer.

Overall, Taco Giro exceeded my expectations, especially with their seafood offerings. If you’re a fan of fresh, flavorful seafood tacos, this place is a gem that you won’t want to miss. I can't wait to return and explore more...
