Went here for breakfast on Saturday.
Young man on the counter knew nothing about the menu and made mistakes.
I ordered a Latte but ended up getting a “drip” coffee that came out of a pump flask! It tasted old, too strong and very bitter. I would rather have the fresh machine coffee from RaceTrac or even the “drip” coffees from Wawa or 7-Eleven that are Farr better quality.
There was only about 8 items on the food menu, one of which was “Breakfast Sandwich” , and you have to ask as to what it’s contents are. When asked by my wife what was your best sandwich, the young man had a brief think, and said “well I’m not really as sandwich person” so we went for Bacon, Egg & Cheese. “What cheese” asked my wife as she dislikes American, his answer was, “We have Munster, Cheddar and Swiss, but we ran out of Munster yesterday and run out of Swiss the day before”!
The sandwiches when they cane were acceptable only, nothing special and came on pressed croissants (nothing wrong but you’d have thought they’d be on the menu as Breakfast Croissants!!! When I asked for some salt, as there wasn’t anything on the tables except decorations and table games, I was told “We don’t have any of them little packet things, we only have one in the kitchen “.
1 regular size coffee, 1 large coffee and 2 breakfast sandwiches = $19.60
Very limited parking, as a covered residential building, seems there’s seating for about 50 but only 6 cars or so.
Unfortunately this place gives the impression of someone who thinks they can run a Cafe/Coffee Bar but has no idea how to do it.
I would not wish failure on anyone but I think this place may be doomed to failure unless an early revamp takes place.
Get rid of the flasks, use FRESH brewed. Put salt & pepper, napkins, sugar/sweetener on the tables. Get a printer for receipts, some people still want a paper record. Train the staff a bit better - even if he lies, when asked say that the Bacon, Egg and Cheese (or whatever) is the best don’t act dumb! (Maybe...
Read moreI've been coming to canon since they opened a few years ago and they've only gotten better since then! The coffee and espresso is delicious, tons of fun drink combos, or you can just ask for whatever you like. (I'm a huge fan of the Globe trotter latte! That cold foam ) They offer a bunch of original sandwiches, gluten free options as well. In the cold months they carry soups, which is amazing, and a favorite lunch options of mine. They have house made cake pops that are fantastic and in lots of interesting flavors. An allergy friendly brownie that is free from a bunch of major allergies. We have gluten, egg and dairy issues and they are ok for everyone in our family. The location itself is very comfortable and decorated well (if instagramming your coffee is important to you you'll love this place! Haha) With a bunch of cozy spaces to accommodate casual coffee dates on the couches, diner style tables for quick lunches, counter spaces for coffee while you do homework. They have a meeting space available for parties and small events. The staff is amazing, it's family owned and they're usually here. but all of the employees are kind and fun and if you come in regularly they help to make it feel like home away from home. 1000 stars! Just...

Coffee: It is simply delicious, while placing an emphasis on the quality of coffee itself! I have tried many of them but the one I cannot stay away from is the "Composer". Iced. With Almond Milk (or Oat Milk for a treat) and half sweet.... BEST thing available from 6am - 7pm anywhere!!
Food: A delicious sandwich that is made fresh (not premade at a factory and then frozen) with coffee? This place just gets it! All their variations are amazing but my personal delight is everything bagel, with cream cheese, turkey bacon, double eggs and cheese (muenster)..... Please. Take. All. My. $$!! It is too good! My sons also look forward to their personal favorites from Canon Coffee.
Service: There's something to be said about a place that is popular enough, but gives you a personal feeling. It's as if their daily operations did not begin until you call to place an order, or show up. Not sure who Canon's Coffee Public Relations Manager is, but they simply know what it takes to make a connection by more ways than just their product.
Thank...
