Chili's Grill & Bar — Restaurant in Apopka

Okay, I need to vent about this location. I hadn’t visited this location in a very long time. I actually forgot about it. Now I know why. First of all, we walk in at 9pm on 10/15/18 and there is no greeter. Okay, cool, we’ll wait, maybe someone will show up. Nope, for 5 minutes, no one greets us. No biggie, so we decide to go sit at a booth in the bar area. We can get our food and catch the football game. It takes a waitress 10 minutes to acknowledge us. It seems like she’s the only one handling the bar area. I also noticed a bunch of unappetizing food and scraps waiting to be cleaned up at another table in the bar area that she hasn’t gotten to yet. Secondly, another couple sits a few tables away five minutes after we sat down, she goes to take their order. Hmmm, now I’m starting to be phased. The waitress finally comes over (Caucasian, black ponytail), proceeds to take our drink order. The waitress didn’t come back to us until after the couple previously mentioned gets chips and salsa and appetizers. Okaaay. So last time I visited a chilis, we sat in the bar area we were given chips and salsa. No charge and we didn’t ask for it either. Not this time. Is this no longer done by chilis??? Why did the other table get them but we didn’t? Is it no longer free? Lastly, food finally comes, it’s mediocre and not as good as other locations I’ve been to. It’s not terrible though. My main complaint is that when I asked for a take home box and container for my sauce the waitress walks off while I’m still talking to her. Very rude and unprofessional lady. Watched us while we were leaving and didn’t say goodnight or anything. I wish I got her name. I also filled out the survey on the kiosk after I paid. This chilis was a letdown. I’ll try to forget about this location again but I won’t forget...

Worst Chili’s location in the country! The so called manager lacks customer service and the server acted like she never served a table before. First our table was dirty, we figured no big deal we can move. Second table also dirty but at that point we just wanted to order. Asked for a 2 for 1 and we were brought 4 classic margaritas (all tasted like mix and salt, they said they’re pre made in a bucket). I told them to take 2 back because we planned on ordering something else. We ordered two sets of regular fajitas (not the 3 for me) and the plate presentation, freshness of ingredients and quantity were all a shame. The rice was cold, fajitas were mostly soggy onions and peppers and the lack of chicken was absurd. The worst part is that when my fiancé and I ordered a presidente margarita they brought us back the same margarita from before (lack of Sauza tequila, manager said they recently changed the liquor which is a lie). We asked for it to be remade and the manager comes very rudely and asks what the problem is, we explain and they bring us back the same margarita twice, at this point with a per-squeezed lime on it (huge health hazard). We felt extremely undermined and under appreciated as customer and we will not be back to this location ever again. We spoke to corporate and hopefully something is done about this manager who is no help. We paid and even tipped knowing the service, food and experience was subpar. Recently visited and some notable changes.

They now have a "food runner" You may meet him and his name is "Mario" . This kind gentleman is newest asset to the Chili's team. Server "Lauren" takes your order via a tablet. Something newly introduced in Chilli's restaurants. The benefits allow real time order processing.

Here's the cool thing Mario doesn't waist any time and dives in helping. Then you can see him rushing the hot food to the tables.

I sat back observing this process thinking a well oiled team. Even more so what a great asset Mario is. He's eager to help very polite and pleasant to talk with. I can say the same about Lauren. She's on point with drinks and any needs you may have.

This exemplary customer care rare in my reviews. Even rarely seen multiple teammates with same care an personalities.

Let me pause here. Mario ( food runner) is new to the location. He's a real gentleman, excited about his employment. Mario please keep those polite manners you displayed. Reminder of how we raised our children. Im sure your parents are proud of you.

Appreciated the social distancing setup. Every other table is not in use. Where the waitress stand is the table next to it is not in use. Well thought out. Food was delicious on time. Drinks were quickly refilled. Definitely some thing I appreciate. Good team members at...
