Recently visited Sprouts on Grand Opening week; it's Jacksonville's first Sprout store.
It's like a farmer's market. It's like Earth Fare and Whole Foods had a baby and named it Earth Foods...or Whole Fare....but ultimately deciding to name the baby "Sprouts". I'm still trying to figure out who the Mamma is.
Oh... speaking on Mamma, Sprouts carries Mamey. And please refrain from any "Yo Mamey" jokes; I'm being serious. It is the first time I've ever seen Mamey fruits. And I'm sad to say, that was one of my main highlights of shopping at Sprouts. For anyone curious, Mamey looks like a big a$$ Kiwi fruit from the outside. When cut open in half, it looks like an orange Avocado (with the big seed and all). Taste wise, it taste close to a sweet potato. It was interesting to say the least.
Other than that, great selection of produce; reasonable prices too. Nice, organized and clean. Super friendly staff, and if they are not, they may get fired for it.
I loved the One Pan Meals rack; the selection was not limited. Great selection of Tea, Herbs, Whole and Ground Coffees and various Nuts. They carried fresh squeezed and bottled fruit juices like Orange and Apple. They even had a cafƩ.
So what are you waiting on? Come on dowwwn...you're in the Sprout Is Right!!!

Ā Ā Ā Read more3 stars only because the produce needs more quality control. Husband bought bag of lemons that was half molded over with white at the bottom a month ago. I went to go buy bean sprouts at the back of the store about two weeks ago and they were totally degraded...brackish water in the bottom of the package and they were rotting. I pointed it out to a nice young woman who worked there and she removed them immediately. Looked like they had frozen and thawed, which made them rot. Did an InstaCart pickup a few days ago and the cucumbers were rotted. When we called the store, they said oh we don't handle that, you have to log in to Instacart for a refund. š± Not great customer service. If a customer is calling you to tell you that your veg is rotten, you really should stand up and take notice! The thing is, I LOVE the rest of the store and am posting this in hopes that the Produce Manager or Store Manager will take note and get on it. I go here often and like the quality in all the other...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreA great blessing to the area. You cannot beat their produce and usually the prices are about the same as Aldi's in that department and others. They will almost always be discounted compared to Whole Foods for health-oriented items. There are bulk items, fish and meats, and a water machine. All quite reasonable. An array of sulfate-free soaps and shampoos that are growing more popular as people get educated, plus other health supplements, teas, coffees. Now if only they would bring in Certified Humane poultry and other meats, because pasture-raised and cage-free can mean a lot of things these days. I have to go to Publix for that. And by the way what I can get at Publix surprisingly is a whole pasture-raised certified humane chicken $12 bucks total. So some things are fabulous here but meats, not so much. Brief update here in September 2025. Sarah was a manager on duty today and wow did she help me. Customer service to the nth level! Thank you so...
