I normally don’t rate restaurants unless the service is good. Queso Loco is the rare occasion where I couldn’t simply not say anything. We have eaten here now three times and each time the smell from inside is terrible. They said each time they had just cleaned. Now I’m beginning to realize it’s just their location. Something is leaking or isn’t being cleaned right. The food is ok but nothing to write home about. Decent for the price. The issue mostly is with the wait time. If you order to go you’re fine. If you eat in be prepare even with a tiny wait to have to wait 45 minutes for your food or more. I asked them to do something about it and they just offered me a free cheap drink. Any other restaurant would have given you a free meal at least. They are cheap so what is the issue! So you make your patrons wait 45 minutes when there’s only three other people in the building getting small sides? There’s no excuse for it. They move very slow and with no respect for other people’s time. The people they hire clearly have no people skills or any idea as to what they are doing. It had a lot of potential and I like supporting small businesses. Sadly this is one I cannot support. Not just because of the smell, and lack of customer service which is bad enough, it’s the time I wasted there. I should have just gotten my money back and went somewhere else but they said no manager was there so I couldn’t get my money....
Read moreIf I am being honest, I truly wish I could rate this place MUCH higher. But I just can’t. My husband and I ordered takeout, and we were really looking forward to trying the food here. I ordered 2 street tacos and one briria taco, some chips, and a side of esquite. Not only were the street tacos bland and lacking flavor, they were so dry we couldn’t chew them. The briria was still pretty plain tasting, but at least the sauce allowed us to swallow the taco and it wasn’t completely dry. The esquite was actually pretty good, but again not a whole lot of flavor in the slightest. The chips were seasoned more than the food was and the chips were also the best part of the entire meal. I would argue that chilis puts more seasoning in their tex mex food than quesa loca uses at all. Additionally, when we went in to pick our food up, there was a strong sewage odor. I am not sure if they had a sewage backup or leak, but they should not have been operating if they did. It was so potent you could smell it from the front door. Overall this was a place I genuinely had high hopes for, and I unfortunately have wasted money. Their receipts say they do not offer refunds, so unless you like dry, flavorless food, please don’t waste your money...
Read moreI suggest you go find the food truck because it is 100 times better than the Apopka restaurant. The person who took our order completely messed it up. Told me they had no Birria so I ordered steak. I also ordered shrimp tacos. I got my food the shrimp were brown and disgusting the tacos were very small. I asked him for some consommé sauce he told me only comes with Burrias. I told the lady that they told me they had no Birria so I would still like the sauce. Apparently they completely messed it up and still try to charge me for the sauce. Being charged a couple dollars for the sauce is not the point the point is they completely messed it up and did not even try and fix it but actually try to charge me to fix it. I asked him where my corn was and apparently the person never put the corn on my order either. Manager never came out and try and resolve anything. There is no phone number listed on the website to try and call to speak to somebody. I left all my food there untouched including my drink that I took one sip out of. So disappointed. They should have left Something Fishy there bc they were good. I’ll go find their food truck where the food and service was...
