Great addition to Apopka! I visited this morning around 9 am on a Wednesday, parking is on the right side of the building (non paved parking at this time).
They have ample seating indoors and outdoors. The outdoors seating will be a few picnic tables and they have some matching planter boxes between you and the road. Getting to the inside, music is chill and kind of a Lo-Fi beats type of situation I think. Their seating is great! Their chairs and tables are sturdy. Idk how many cafes I go to where it’s stools/chairs are those cheap plastic or basic metal chairs but theirs are metal and appear to be more comfortable for thicker folk. Oh, btw they have a bulletin board off to the left when you walk in if y’all need to put up any business cards or flyers. I think I also saw some bouquets by the counter for purchase possibly.
Menu is at the end of the counter by the register. Spent about $27-28 for my 2 drinks and 2 food items. The gentlemen who took my order was very kind - like genuine kindness that goes beyond general customer service niceties.
To drink, I ended up getting their summer specials - the peach matcha latte and banana pudding latte (both iced). For food, I got their banana bread and bacon, egg, potato, and cheese burrito (I think that’s what it was - don’t quote me). They informed me the burrito takes around 10 minutes which is fine. Now, the banana bread is a thick cut, dense, moist dream. Burrito tastes great, potatoes aren’t dried or chewy like some breakfast spots, bacon is plentiful, and is perfect portions for a quick breakfast. It’s akin to scooters burritos in size and weight, maybe a smidge larger. Back to the drinks! I think my favorite of the two was the peach matcha latte. It has this creamy peach flavor and when it mixes with the grassy/earthy bitterness of the matcha, it creates this combination that just hits for me - like one of those healthy drinks that doesn’t make you shiver or gag like you took a strong shot of booze. The banana pudding latte was good. However, I didn’t really get banana pudding. You still taste coffee which I expect cuz it’s obviously coffee but you still get a smooth sweetness. I think I was just expecting like a punch of some banana since when I think of banana pudding, I think decadent, strong banana flavor and a creamy texture. The foam on top provides the creaminess though.
Overall, I can definitely see myself coming back and highly recommend others to stop in and give them a try. I can’t wait to see this coffee shop grow into an Apopka staple. The drinks are pictured along with the banana bread in its packaging. Completely forgot to take pictures of the food as devoured it but i remembered I was yammering about nothing on Snapchat but I did show them on there so I’ve added some...
Read moreAmong the great coffee shops in Apopka, True Coffee manages to stand out and fill a niche that hadn't been available coffee lovers in the area. While other coffee shops in the area focus on specialty lattes, True Coffee has a stripped down menu where the coffee is the star of the show and they offer single batch brews as well as espresso based drinks and drip. As a pour over fan, I'm so happy I won't have to drive to Orlando or Winter Garden to get a pour over anymore.
There are plenty of tables and a bar with stools and an amazing view of some beautiful moss draped live oaks. This place is awesome for people who need a regular place to study or work. The prices are also inexpensive, so I can see myself hanging out and ordering a few coffees and pastries during a good work session without any sticker shock.
I absolutely loved the warm Alabama sweet bread. I'd never seen it sold anywhere else and I'll be back for more!
The owners are friendly and I can tell they're passionate about coffee and care about their customers. If you're a fan of no frills third-wave coffee shop that focuses on craftsmanship of their products rather than elaborate concoctions and menus, you have to check them out. The inviting work-friendly space, beautiful natural views, and great prices are great bonuses on...
Read moreJust had an amazing experience at True Coffee.
Spencer didn’t just serve us coffee—he elevated the whole experience. He took the time to explain their brew methods and, when one of our drinks wasn’t quite right, he remade it without hesitation.
What really stood out? The flask brew. Smooth, balanced, and low-acid—perfect for anyone who wants the depth of flavor without the bite. It’s coffee for thinkers, sippers, and people who care about how their cup is made. You can tell these folks know their craft.
Props to the team in the back too—everyone moved with intention, from the pour-over setup with brass filters to the clean, modern vibe of the whole space.
Highly recommend for your next caffeine fix or...
