Carl's Jr. — Restaurant in Apple Valley

Horrible place. Not coming back at all. Sad because just a week ago I would come about 3 times a week and was my go to in all the High Desert but not any more. I today on 9/9/21 craving a beyond burger and fries. Ordered them as I normally do and had to repeat myself 3 times because the lady was just not getting it. Pulled up have them the coupon code which I was told by the manager to just give the coupon code and didn't have to hand my coupon over, probably to avoid infection from COVID which o thought was smart, but instead I was told to hand it over which I did no big deal and then was told it was x amount which I thought was weird since I just used a coupon. Turns out the order was wrong even though I repeated three times and on the fourth she repeated back ok it was still wrong. When I told her that it was wrong she gave me an attitude and told me it was my fault that I had told her that I wanted 2 of a certain item. Well I didn't and I made sure to repeat it until she got it which I thought she did from when she repeated the fourth time but nope she didn't. She made a what do you want me to do about attitude and face and refunded me the money cash with attitude. She then told me to pull up and I waited about 30 minutes for something I've ordered before and only takes 5 minutes max. She came out with the wrong order and had me wait. I am afraid that she might have spit or done something bad to my burger. Never again do I come here. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE. Seriously. Do not pass through here. UPDATED 09/25: Added two stars back on since my last experience. No more illicit cookie bribes, and service speed was sluggish but certainly improved. The dining room is lovely and the staff was friendly. Glad to see this location working to earn its review stars!

Don’t trust the reviews. This location literally trades free desserts for 5 star reviews (none of which disclose this detail).

This location struggles to match the modest standards of any other Carls I’ve ever been to (hence paying for reviews.) The store is clean, the prices are reasonable, and the food even tastes good. The problem is getting it.

I’ve ordered here twice now, and have spent a cumulative 60 minutes waiting for cheeseburgers and quesadillas (some of which were still wrong or missing when my tray arrived.) If I visit a third time, I’ll likely have waited half a Lord of the Rings movie by the time my food is cooked.

Sat in the Drive-Thru for 5 minutes and nobody took my order. Drove forward to see if maybe the speaker was broken and nobody at the window or anywhere in sight. Drove around to the front and had to go inside to order food. Mention the drive-thru and they said it didn't register my vehicle which doesn't really make any sense because I drive big dually truck so if it can't see a truck there are a bunch of problems. Next I ordered my food to go and literally had a 2-mile drive and upon opening and taking the first bite of my burger it was cold like they didn't even heat it up cold. I could give a pass if it was a very busy time but it was not. I was in line and there was one person behind me in the Drive-Thru and when I went inside nobody else was inside. There is zero excuse for any of what happened. Literally never going back to this one and I would suggest anybody else avoid this one like the plague.
