Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Arizona

The parking lot was full, but, i walked in and there was no line, just a really happy faced pleasant host who asked where i wanted to sit... table or bar. (yep, that's me, a solo traveler from Maine who knows that Applebee's has a great longstanding reputation for accommodating dine-alone customers). First of all, and ALL parking lots can speak volumes if there's litter, crumbled pavement or terrible signage that should have clearly marked allocated spots for people with mobility challenges. This Applebee's had a great smooth clean lot, new signage, ADA compliant ramps, transitions, restrooms and entries... Good Foresight!!! The interior had a newly cleaned look and feel in truly consistent Applebee's style. The wait staff were amazing, it didn't matter who had which table, they were all refilling drinks etc for each other (refreshing teamwork). I can't speak for the women's restroom, but, as a middle aged man walking into a men's room that smells like good soap and cleaner sure beats walking into one that smells like the litter needs changing in a cat box. My food was consistent with the usual Applebee's high standards of quality fresh food served at the right temp, excellent presentation, portions plus, clean table and cutlery with a Perfect Margarita... Oh, and a server that checked in to assure all was right with the order. There's a lot to be said about a nationwide family of restaurants such as Applebee's, I've been to 24 of them from the east coast to the west coast, standard uniform pricing, huge menu, quality, easy environment, efficient, great cocktails, fast bill pay along with polished well-groomed staff who know customer service. Guilty pleasure= mozzarella sticks. Thank you Applebee's for keeping with the ways that had everyone patronizing your eateries from the very start. If it ain't broke, don't fix...

I'm not one to complain or write bad reviews unless extremely warranted & this is..My husband and I usually love Applebee's. But this place has gone down hill majorly.

We have 4 kids so we don't get date nights often, we decided to go to Applebee's, and I'm upset we didn't choose somewhere else. We came in on the afternoon on Sunday The wait time wasn't long (about 20mins) hostess was friendly. & our waiter was also good. But this establishment is so so dirty. The bathrooms immediately grossed me out, I had already ordered food but lost my appetite the minute I went into the bathroom. (You can always tell how clean a restaurant is by their restrooms) the carpet and tables are all disgusting as well. Dishes had dust and stains on them, dirt & dust everywhere. This place needs a really good cleaning and major face-lift. Our food came out fast, the appetizer was fine, not hot, but fine. I ordered the wonton tacos my husband ordered some chicken sandwich with fries. Both were absolutely HORRIBLE! His chicken was so dry it looked like it had been sitting under a warmer for days, a dot of mayo, and a hard bun. The fries were FREEZING cold & mushy, like they came from a freezer & weren't cooked just thawed.. wonton tacos were cold, hard, and just so gross. I ordered a regular mtn dew, my husband ordered their blue one. His was fine, but mine was completely flat and had lip stick on the cup. So I decided to just drink his with him. Neither of us ate the meal we paid $60 for. Try to get through to management, with no luck. I really hope they can clean up a bit & get this place back...

I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO APPLEBEE'S AGAIN. Our son was on a short leave from the Navy this weekend and we decided to have lunch and see a movie. We chose Applebee's in Prescott as it was close the movie theater. My husband and I arrived about 15 minutes before our son. We placed our order because our movie started before our son's, we told the server this. Once our son arrived we still had not received our drinks. Our son and grandson ordered their food and drinks. All the while we sat and watched as people that had arrived after us were being served food. We had to ask the hostess to please find our server to get our drinks. After being there for 50 minutes with no drink refills and no sign of our server I decided to asked for the manager. When he came out I simply asked if he could tell me how much longer our food was going to be because we had been there nearly and hour and we were late for a movie. He stated that he didn't know which food was mine. I pointed out our table and he said he would check on it. Several minutes later he came out of the kitchen with food. I assumed it was ours but much to my shock it was the lady behind us who had only been there about 20 minutes. With the expectation that we were never going to get our food. We left. What a horrible experience with our son who is only home for a few days. I WILL NEVER VISIT AN...
