I have trouble studying at home lol (easily distracted) so coffee shops and library serve as good alternative places to study. Here, the service is great. At least the time I came. The person at the point of sales was very polite despite being busy and took time to provide recommendations on their Fuel energy drink (the black one tastes pretty good). The atmosphere is lovely. It's very well lit with large windows that allow a lot of natural light. However, the temperature indoors is cool enough (this is Tucson after all lol 🔥🥵). The music is a tad loud but that's thanks to an amazing sound system configuration. So bring some noise cancelling headphones but even at that, it's not crazy loud to where you can't actually zone in and study (also understand this is not your home lol and it's a public establishment really for folks to be entertained and chill.) It's very clean even the bathrooms in comparison to some alternative coffee shops. The seating was comfortable and the WiFi connection was very good. I really enjoyed my drink and study time here. For those who like to work, read/study outside their home or library I'll recommend this place for sure. They also have some confectionary should you...
Read moreAs a new addition to the coffee scene in my part of town, I was very excited to try out the new flavors Black Rock has. My friend and I ordered 4 small varieties and I fell in love their their Chai Frapp.
The main table seating somewhat feels awkward in that you are in standard lines meaning, the table next to you is in direct sight instead of being staggered a little behind or in front of. I didnt like the feeling of having two other conversations directly on top of mine almost to the point I felt I couldn't speak as freely, or feeling I was too loud and overwhelming their conversations. It would be great if they spread that out a bit. There was fun seating elsewhere in the location and I will give that a shot next time. Back to the Chai Frapp........ MMMMMMMMMMMM!!!! 5 STARS! Will be back! Kind staff didn't make me feel intimidated as a first time...
Read moreYesterday, the barista at the drive though window was very rude. She told me it wasn't her job to look up my points and proceeded to lecture me as to why there's an app; she then mocked customers who had asked the same question to make her point. She also said she wouldn't be able to see my points anyway, but after typing in my number, was able to. She ended with letting me know that she wouldn't be able to do that in the future. This was a bizarre interaction. I typically go to Dutch bros and am never lectured and chastised for asking a question. I will not be returning to Black Rock as there are serious issues with how employees...
