While my experience also depends on the atmosphere and the service, The quality of the food must take precedence in my review. Service: top notch Ambiance: just okay. The cold, hard, metal stool I sat on was very uncomfortable and cut off the circulation in my legs because of where the foot-rest is located on those particular stools. The stools they use are quite commonplace lately, and I cringe whenever I find them in an establishment, because I feel like they are not at all providing a comfortable place to sit - Just "a place to sit", having nothing to do with your comfort.
I fully expected a better experience.
I expected better food.
FOOD: Yes, it's a hamburger joint. But what I was expecting was a handcrafted burger - not a frozen patty. It's an irk to go to what everybody in town thinks is a fancy hamburger place and them still use a cheap frozen patty. How disappointing. $16.50 for my frozen patty burger was a rip. Each topping is $2 a piece. I ordered Havarti cheese, grilled onions, and grilled mushrooms for my toppings. Whether I can afford it is irrelevant - I don't appreciate the nickel and diming. And I certainly don't appreciate frozen hamburgers. Especially at $10.50 pop for a frozen hamburger. They automatically come with lettuce, mayonnaise and tomato - added toppings that I personally don't want. And they don't take $2 each off for the ones you don't want on there. And one would hope that at least the bar would be good. But it was a poor selection of beer, and the Margarita that I had was sickly sweet. The 1st one was okay, so I ordered another one, but the second was plain disgusting. My mom also had the same experience with her drink. 1st one was just O.K. and the second was not good at all. My husband didn't love his beer. We were all disappointed in the quality of the burger and how they chose to cook it even though they had just okay flavor. Overall it was a Just O.K. experience but a rip off at $200 for the 4 of us for a Just o.k. meal. I came, I saw, I ate. Not ...
Read moreReally it's is more like a 3.5. So I had a very mixed review for my first time here.
Pros: The food was good and the INITIAL service was very inviting. It was my first time coming to this place and it was during happy hou. I asked for suggestions on what was good on the menu. The bartender was kind enough to make great suggestions and what she suggested was ON POINT! The place was clean and everyone was professional for the most part. I really loved the atmosphere.
Cons: After the initial service I never talked to my bartender again. She never approached me about a refill for my beverage, yet she did for all the patrons around me. Never asked me how my food was or if I needed anything when it came out. There was a waiter that came behind the bar when ringing up another ticket and noticed my beverage was empty. He asked if I wanted another beverage and I took him up on his offer. I asked for an old fashioned and what I got was a muddled mess of a drink. The other patrons who ordered an old fashioned were given exactly what they ordered. I have to give him and A for effort as he noticed and asked if I needed service so I appreciate him for the effort. He is also the one that rung me up as, again, I never talked to the bartender again after the initial service.
Overall I like the place, the food, and the people are nice. The service I received was mediocre at best, especially compared to everyone else at the bar. They were asked several times if they were ok, if they needed anything, and if they needed fresh drinks.
I'll eventually try this place again and update this review, but I have no desire to come back anytime soon. The place looks...
Read moreI give 10 stars for the service (Eddie)❗My friend and I both have dietary restrictions for medical issues, and we're glad when we can both get food we can eat. We each got the California Burger Bowl (but mine without quinoa and rice), and zucchini fries. First off, I really liked the burger bowl. I wasn't sure I would with all the different ingredients (avocado, griddled sweet potato, roasted mushroom, caramelized onion, brussels sprout, brown rice & quinoa, tamari), but it was SO good. Zucchini fries were hot and, most importantly, crisp. Now... Here's the best part: Eddie! 😁🔟 Eddie was AWESOME! My friend and I both have several years in the industry and we know exactly what it's like. People like Eddie are RARE. From the absolute start he was attentive, kind, friendly, cheerful, and just all around great. And he pays attention to detail! She and I each ordered a drink (mine just a tequila shot). It came with salt on the rim, (which was fine, i just didn't use it). I got one more shot (as we were there for a really long time) and when he brought the 2nd he said "i left off the salt because I noticed it was still on your first glass". 😮 Perfect! He paid attention and modified! Impressive 👍 We spoke to the manager, JD, about how great Eddie is, and it turns out JD is pretty great as well. He even got us a dessert our dietary restrictions allowed! Above and Beyond! 😁👏👐 Thank you to both Eddie and JD! You have both exceeded our expectations! (Btw Stole the pics from their site because I didn't get one, but it's pretty much exactly...
