My husband and I usually go to the Sauce on Broadway. Even though the seating is not great, we get excellent service and if something is not right, it gets taken care of right away. The last time I was there, I asked if they had a small size pizza because I like to order the roasted vegetable salad with a side order, The girl taking our order told us they had a kids size pizza. I happily ordered one as did my husband. It was the perfect size. Today, we stopped by the Grant location and did the same thing. As usual, the servers were nice even though they got our order wrong. A lady came with our pizzas, set them down and proceeded to tell us in a loud voice that the small pizzas were for children 12 and under and we couldn't order this next time. She implied that we were trying to cheat the system. I couldn't even get a word in and let her know my pizza order was wrong since I was in such shock that an employee would come over and reprimand us in this manner. All they had to do was not sell us the small pizza in the first place. I think she was the manager on duty since she was walking around asking all the patrons but us if everything was okay. I totally lost my appetite. We will not be going back to that location. Want great service? Go to the one...
Read moreAs other reviews have said the staff here is very bad and treat you like a second class person if you aren't wearing Calevin Klein or rich. My wife, brother and I went to this sauce location for Pi day to take advantage of the $3.14 pizza deal and from the get go the cashier was a total ass. He made it known very well by his posture, attitude and poor customer service skills during our order. He had a bland face the entire time and made it seem like a hassle to create 3 separate orders for the deal. I will never again return to this location as it is obvious that they specifically want to cater to the wealthy class and treat anyone else who walks in as a bum. Right after we ordered the cashier was very upbeat, welcoming and making tons of small talk with their richer white customers. As I said before go to the Broadway location especially if you aren't rich and want quality service.
P.S The worst part was that he kept rushing my brother during his order even though he is disabled from a severe TBI he experienced...
Read moreThis was our first experience with Sauce: Pizza & Wine, and this location was East Grant Road somewhere near Kolb. It was New Year's Eve 2020 into 2021, and we arrived early evening.
I cannot overstate what a great experience it was--- from the inviting facility itself to the staff--- and particularly the way that they actually stayed open so that we could finish our dinner --- which in our opinion could not has been more delicious!
I'm sure that the staff wanted to get home so they could have some kind of a New Year's Eve since the manager told us that they were very busy earlier in the evening.
Yet it was WE who picked up the pace because we did not want to keep everybody there as we were the last diners.
I'll tell you what kind of an impression that Sauce has made on me: not only are we to return very soon, but I have honestly thought about being there more than a half-dozen times since that great evening with our first...
