Being new to any state comes with its struggles. My struggle: find my new favorite sandwich shop. Blimpie is mine. The layout of this particular Blimpie reminds me of my favorite sandwich spot back in California, so it really drew me in. Now, I didn't order the most complicated sandwich, but I was really satisfied with the portion and the price. Combo is pretty standard (sandwich, chips/cookie, and a drink), but what sets it apart is their frozen treat: the eegee. It's not really a treat I can describe, so you really have to try it out for yourself. You can ask for a sample before deciding on your purchase. My boyfriend and I showed up to this establishment thinking that EBT was accepted here only to find out that it is not. We had already ordered our food by then and instead of shooing us out the door, they were kind enough to take it out of their pockets! ($11+) Bravo! True acts of kindness, true acts of how a human should treat another human. But that's in circumstances of true need, not of the manipulation we see day in and day out at many places.
