This is truly a hidden treasure! There is something special here. Every aspect of our visit was amazing. The pictures and reviews do not do this place justice. From when we walked in the front door, we were amazed by the genuine kindness. The food was some of the ABSOLUTE BEST that we have ever had. We live 2 hours away and WILL COME BACK just to eat here! I had the salmon (cooked perfectly), which was served on a small wooden plank. My daughter had the tortellini. I have never tasted a pasta so smooth cooked to perfection, not overly cheesy and full of flavor. My husband had the pan seared chicken. All of the food seemed to just melt in our mouths. Never had chicken so well cooked... So juicy. The carrot cake was JUST RIGHT, not overly sweet. Even the cream was amazing. We left full however did not feel weighed down like you do at some restaurants. Bradley, our server... What do I say? Beyond wonderful. He was so genuinely friendly, quick, knowledgeable about the food. He made us feel like we were the most important customers at the restaurant! We arrived around 4p and it was filling up quickly. It seemed that people coming in were regulars and had a nice relationship with staff. The atmosphere was relaxed, but had somewhat of a southwestern elegance. The lights were dim and there were candles on each table. It was definitely a relaxed vibe. The owner, Moe, makes you feel like family as soon as he sees you. He came up to us and welcomed us to his restaurant. He has a great sense of humor and is kind. Upon leaving. I thanked him for the phenomenal experience and asked him what his secret was. He said it was his staff. I loved that! This is one place that you would do yourself a disservice if you do not try it I would give this place all...
Read moreWe were here tonight for early dinner to celebrate our 23rd anniversary. Made the reservation via Open Table and made a note of it, however it was never acknowledged by hostess or waiter during our time there. The entrees were good and presented nicely. We ordered the bacon wrapped shrimp appetizer which were served over a the bed of black bean, corn and tortilla salad; it was really good. My wife ordered the Basil Pasta with shirmp and she really enjoyed it too...she said pasta sause was on point, pasta al dente and shirmp were soft and fresh. I ordered the Flank Steak cooked to medium well. Seasoned well and well presented, however a bit tought for me to enjoy and ate only about 1/3 of the steak. Flank steak is always a hit and miss at most restaurants, but though this was was going to be hit. It came with delicious basil mashed potatoes which I really enjoyed with the steamed veggies, I would come back just to have them again. For desert, the waiter recommended the Tres Leches Cheesecake and mentioned is was made in-house so we ordered a slice to take home. Unfortunately, it was not good, it was old...it tasted extremely refrigerated and it was very dry. Tres leches shoud be super moist and it was not. We ended up trowing it away since we couldn't eat it tasting and smelling like fridge. We liked the atmosphere and decor of the restaurant. The bar area was impressive, very inviting to enjoy happy hour any day. Our waiter was Brad and he seemed to enjoy what he did, he was attentive and always...
Read moreWhat the heck? Seriously. I was out and about with my son today and came across this restaurant name. It was more of a last minute educational opportunity and we were hungry. Sure I’ll explain pretentious over some steak at lunch. Should make it real easy! Lol I wanted to celebrate his success in school and clubs anyway so this might be just right! I have one kid, so he wants a steak ehh😊 Go figure he ends up ordering chicken tacos! I ordered the chicken fajitas. Listen! They were sooo bad. I was literally stunned when she brought the non sizzling plate of slop and had the balls to put it down in front of me. I had to order a margarita to wash the few bites down and help my annoyance for spending so much. They used shredded chicken for the fajitas!!! And it was mushy! You can hear and see when they put the food up! Poor waitress by herself but 5 cooks! They literally rang the bell and were prob off to smoke a cigarette before the big table put their order in. (Maybe less cooks smoke these days but in my restaurant days) No one could help run the food? I was 20 feet away staring at my food under the heat lamp. Ughhh There was nothing good about any of our food except maybe for the little blue corn muffins. The margarita was excellent though! I’d go back for a margarita but would definitely never go out of my way. My son says the fried corn tortillas and flour tortillas...
