Iceland Ice Cream — Restaurant in Arlington

My experience here was not the best. When I walked in, I heard constant cursing from the staff. There we're all on their phones and I was given no type of greeting. The selection of ice cream flavors and toppings were great, so it took me a while to finally decide what I wanted. Sadly, my friend had to pay for both her and myself because you cannot pay with debit card unless your total is $10+, or they will charge you an extra dollar. I wouldn't have had a problem if it was clearly stated that all forms of card payment had to have a minimum purchase of $10, instead the sign only said credit cards. After sitting and waiting, they blared music out of no where and then when a crowd of customers began to form, only one staff member worked while the other two sat and chatted with a friend that visited, STILL cursing. We had heard about rolled ice cream and wanted to try it, so we went and checked it out at this place. Apparently everybody else had the same idea because it was way over crowded in there! They definitely need a bigger facility. We could hardly walk to the back through the crowds of people for a table. Our experience ordering was subpar. Since we had not been there before, we didn't know how the system worked, and since it was so crowded, we could not read the menus on the walls very easily. The lady who was taking orders was not patient at all and got frustrated with me while I was ordering. I’ve been on the hunt for something close to Thai “I-TIM-PAD” and this place came highly recommended. It’s located in a small shopping center close to Parks Mall, easy to find, right off of the freeway. While it is small, it’s cozy and clean and the ice cream is worth the wait. They have several pre-made combos to choose from or you can ‘DIY’ if you can make your mind up 🙄 They mix ingredients of your choice with fresh cream and you can taste the difference that this makes.
