This place is trash. Please read negative reviews first and truly take them at face value. I personally was a national food inspector and taster for a major company. I try to list them in order. Seated @7:10 pm then told to move for a large party not ask but told to move to a dimly lit area. The large party bought extra dinners that were not on there reservation. The promise was that servce would be faster. Drinks never refilled nor did the waitress check on us the entire night. 8:20pm the meal had not started no chef present. Group of 30 that we were moved for was eating dinner. Mind you our area was full immediately after the move. Someone not a chef comes over after the table is ready to walk out and starts the meal. This was a group of 7 strangers. A husband and wife, two ladies celebrating one's birthday and my daughter, wife and myself. Cook was not a chef not even a new one. He had no clue how to cook, prepare or excuse the dinner. I can only assume he was a dishwasher or other back of house employee. I can't blame him because management should have never put him in a position to fail horribly. Foods were cooked out of order. Fried rice was prepared dry with little seasoning or butter. Vegetables were actually served last after most of the proteins were plated except for the chicken and salmon. Which should give you some idea how long they were on the grill. 8.Seafood was partially raw. Scallops were cooked on one side too long and well under cooked on the other. Chicken was extremely rubbery due to being over cooked at extremely low temperatures. Which resulted in the excessive rubbery texture very similar to microwaved chicken. The chicken was left on the plate to be trashed. Salmon was in a similar state but was eaten with extra sauce added. It did however have a stronger than usual fishy odor and taste. 11.Couple that with fact that were was no show. Guy couldn't evem make the onion volcano and that was the only thing he attempted. Shrimp appetizer was not delivered. The group of dinners was not given cloth napkins and had to ask for additional paper ones. They placed a stack of the cloth napkins on the table the removed them for some reason. Cook was sloppy at best. During the meal prep, I leaned back so that he did not get egg on my clothing.
Manager compensated with 15% off but should just left but we invested almost 2.5 hours. 30 minute wait to be seated and a little over two hours to finish an pricly panda express type meal.

Read moreFirst impressions, this place appeared to be pretty nice. We had the private room reserved for a friends birthday, and specifically requested 2 servers because we had a larger party. We arrived on time, and got seated promptly, but it was all downhill from there. We ended up with only one waitress who spoke almost no English and clearly had no idea how to wait tables. She brought everyone an opening round of waters, and most of us ordered drinks from the bar as well. Fast forward nearly 20 minutes and less than half of us have gotten any other drinks, the initial waters are empty, and no refills coming. Another 10 minutes go by and finally get the beer I ordered, but still no water refills for anyone. Finally we ordered our sushi, with a side of rice and broccoli for our infant daughter to eat with us, and the rest of our party orders as well. The food starts coming out 1 roll at a time after 30 or so minutes for others in our party. More than an hour goes by after we placed our food order and the only thing that has shown up for us is the rice and broccoli, and some of the others in our party are missing things they ordered as well. Majority of our group has finished their meals at this point, and are ready to leave. We're tired of waiting on our food and our daughter is getting cranky, so we decide to cancel the rest of our order. I ask for the bill, and our waitress looks at us like we're crazy (didn't understand "bring me the bill"), ended up having to rephrase it a few times before she finally understood. So she proceeds to bring me a check for nearly $80 for food I never received. At this point I lose my mind, and had to get the manager involved. I explained the situation and he acted surprised that I'd ask them to remove the food THAT I NEVER GOT from my bill. Then has the nerve to include the 18% automatic gratuity for our party size, despite the fact that we received virtually no service from them. We were there for 2 hours and only received a bowl of rice, a bowl of broccoli, and a beer. Hell, I even had to go get a water pitcher from the wait station myself to get refills for our table. Are you kidding me?!?!? I will never be back to this place, and I will tell everyone I know to avoid them. If I could give less than 1...
Read moreOddly we were in the area at the blue box hardware store and drove up to sushi Domo for lunch but they did not open for another 30 minutes so I broke out Google Maps and found Nagoya
It was almost right back to where we started. They had a relatively small menus but we ordered a few things
They also had some creative rolls and lunch items on the white board too
I was a little confused by lunch specials for sushi. We also did not know the wife could order from the Hibachi as she does not eat sushi.
The service was good and food was good, serving size was large. Almost dinged them 1 star for menu confusion but I think a few trips and learning will help that.
The menu items in some regards is limited but it also has things sushi Domo does not have. I like Sushi Domo but thankful they did turn us away and we found Nagoya. Domo is dark and often the music is too loud to have conversations across the table.
This place is relatively bright, well decorated and the music is low and subtle. The dining experience is well above and wife liked the ambience much better and we could actually talk without raising our voices or asking to repeat ourselves.
The sashimi cuts of tuna was very nice cuts and as generous as any place I have eaten. It looked fresh and clean, the mouth feel was great and there was no off colors or smells
Wife got the Tempura lunch with shrimp I often like tempura veggies as appetizers but I did not see it on menu so I got to try hers and it was good.
I later saw on web menu they do have tempura appetizers so I think the moral is look over the menu and ask if you don’t see it as the servers were helpful and seems they would fix for example some noodles if the wife wanted it. We found out you don’t have to sit at the hibachi to order from it at lunch.
They likely trimmed menu down for ease of ordering but it does not show everything.
If I had known sashimi portions were as large as they were I might have just order one instead of two. However it was so good and I like variety go for two
They also brought out plenty of ginger Most places I always ask for more but not here.
I look forward to my return and exploring more...
