Kenner's Kolache Bakery — Restaurant in Arlington

So glad I picked this place today! The lady (Paola was very patient and helpful with me)…..and even wrote a kind birthday message on the boxes! I ordered for my best friend’s birthday 12 fruit kolaches and 12 sausage and cheese along with a big dawg jalapeno sausage roll, ham and swiss and a danish meltaway. They had sold out of their cinnamon rolls quickly but was able to get PLENTY of everything else. I placed the order from Indianapolis and they actually volunteered to deliver which is not a normal process but maybe for such big orders. From being out of state, my friend called me as soon as she received them with her mouth full and said, OMG, and absolutely LOVED their kolaches and admittedly cut a little of each one to try. She said they were the best she had! So happy birthday to her! I love these Kolaches! I am a huge fan of Kolaches from West, TX and these are as good or, dare I say it, better than the ones from my fav bakery in West (and I have eaten at several of the bakeries there). I have had experiences with other Kolache places in the DFW area and the dough is harder the the filling isn't great. This place, though, does it right. You can tell these are freshly made as the bread around the filling is pillowy and soft, and I think what takes them over the edge is the crumbs on top may have extra butter. There is a fantastic butter flavor the ones in West, TX do not have.

I have eaten the cream cheese, peach, and sausage and cheese so far - delectable! Also, I had half of the mini cinnamon roll - which was amazing.

Also, the person who helped in the store was so kind and explained everything they had to offer. He even gave me one free kolache since it was my first visit....

The atmosphere makes me miss my hometown bakery it's so inviting and warm. The owner was equally warm and friendly.

We tried their meltaways, danishes, sausage kolaches and a cinnamon roll; A common problem I've found with danish pastries is how dry the dough becomes- we arrived at 10 in the morning and everything was warm and soft, homemade and delicious. And all the dough had that perfect balance of airiness and moisture.
