Let me make something clear: chicken and food are a solid 8/10. No qualms there. The rest? Ordering experience, wait time, paying, etc.? Ooff thatâs a stark contrast. As soon as you pull up on drive-thru, the intercom may or may not work. So if it doesnât, you pull up and wait to get to the window. Chances are youâll get to the window in 15 mins at earliest. They always seem to be backed up. Now whether itâs a logistical thing with them, understaffed, cooking stuff fresh, I donât know exact reason for their slowness. I just can attest that of the various times Iâve come here the past 12 months, I cannot recall a time where I received my food quickly. I always joke with my wife when weâre in line that they must go and kill the chicken each time someone orders. Well, anyhow thatâs the timing of service. On payment experience, the last couple of times Iâve had my order taken at the intercom and then 10 mins later some dude comes out of the back and takes my order again w/ pen and receipt paper. Like seriously? Secondly, Iâve had the same guy come out and ask for my card and then go back to the car in back of me and get their card to process payments inside. Like what in the world? I check my receipt to ensure my order is correct and my card was charged, but this whole workaround on the payments they take gives room for error. Also itâs a flip of the coin whether they bring your food out to your car while youâre in line and not at the window, or if you do reach the window. Man if the chicken wasnât good I wouldnât come here to put up with all Iâve mentioned. Each time I go to pollo regio I realize Iâll have to go through an ordeal just to eat some good chicken. Weâll see if it remains worth it for the...
Read moreOscar was wonderful and so kind and helpful! Thank you again Oscar! Today was my first time coming here and trying the food and I ordered a little bit of everything. I really enjoyed all my food. It was delicious and the customer service was absolutely amazing. Oscar was friendly and polite and made me feel right at home. The entire experience made for the ultimate comfort meal. I would definitely come back! I ordered a Jamaica Agua Fresca, the churros with the Cajeta filling, 4 pieces of their grilled chicken which was seasoned to perfection, and the Reggio platter which consisted of five tacos Al Pastor(my personal choice of meat out of 5 meat choices) two sides and three dipping sauces, as well as onions and a grilled jalapeño. I ordered rice, beans, and plantains for my sides. I loved that they offer plantains as a side dish as they are akin to yams/sweet potatoes in my culture and complete any meal for me personally. Like I said, everything was good, but my favorite was definitely the tacos Al Pastor probably because Iâve been craving them for a minute and they were also just genuinely really good!
Bonus: I ordered my food to go and Iâm so glad that I did so that I didnât feel the need to eat all cutesy and could really eat how I wanted to with my hands and mix my food which I think made it...
