Boy oh boy I have a lot to say about this place, so I’ll start with the good and end with the bad, and maybe I’ll do a little sum up at the end for all the people who don’t like reading. I just finished eating here for the first time so I can’t say too much about all the food, but the burger I had was delicious and juicy, the produce was fresh and crisp, and the fries were hot and salty. The staff was friendly and the restaurant was clean. I didn’t go into the bathrooms so I have no comment there. The desserts looked great, but I didn’t have any of those since my wife told me I had to cut out the sweets or else she was gonna leave me for our neighbor. Now onto the bad. I only really have two complaints about this place, the first being the atmosphere. Listen, when you call your restaurant a “50’s & 60’s” burger joint there are certain rights that you give up. They had the baskets with the red and white checkered paper and the paper around the burgers. The menu looked fitting and they had some pictures of old celebrities and cars and even some old 45’s (those are vinyl records to all you kids out there reading google reviews late at night eatin’ a ham sandwich with a glass of milk). And I’m not saying that everything has to be exactly accurate to the times. I’m not saying that you have to only hire thin, tall, white, blonde women with the most unreal blue eye color and only play music from the 50’s while people are dancing to the white washed jazz and rock with Jim Crow banging on the bathroom stalls while an actual team of firefighters is hosing people down in the streets while a group of draft dodgers are smoking pot behind the dumpster. But, when I step into a “50’s & 60’s” burger place, the last thing I should see is a plasma screen tv playing Adam Sandler’s “Water Boy”. I would say just about every other modern convenience is fine, but why sully the image of your restaurant with tv? Other restaurants, mainly chains, get to be reviewed on just their food. But as soon as you call yourself some sort of novelty restaurant, you have to build an atmosphere. And the worst part is, this place has atmosphere! But when you put in a flatscreen tv that atmosphere gets washed away like slavery in an eighth grade American history class. Also, my chair was wobbly.
tl;dr great food but some of the...
Read moreHave been going to this burger box for three years. We go after football games basketball games baseball games and first day and last day of school. It usually a time I can sit down and talk with my kids and enjoy a nice burger. Today ended all of that. We went through the drive thru today. They serve two different types of rainbow ice cream. My son order the wrong type of flavored rainbow ice cream. He is 5 we went back in the store and request the right rainbow ice cream and was told by the manager it was not his problem. The ice cream was 3 dollars. What’s the right thing to do here? My son is 5 and today was his first day of kindergarten. The manager wouldn’t even give me my money back. I will never eat at this establishment ever again. They even have a sign on the drive through that says if there is something wrong with the order to let them know immediately so it can be corrected. To be told it’s my problem not his over 6 dollars. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! I WILL NEVER RETURN TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT. AND IF YOU HAVE SMALL KIDS YOU SHOULD NOT GO HERE EITHER!! BECAUSE IF YOU WANT SOMETHING DIFFERENT THEN IT IS...
Read moreWould give zero stars if I could. I bought a burger and said mayo and mustard all the way. I had to repeat my order three times. When I got home I noticed no vegetables were on the sandwich. I called the store and got an employee named Juan and advised my sandwich was wrong. Instead of trying to rectify the situation he tells me I was wrong and the order was repeated at the window. The young lady at the window never repeated the order to me. I mean who doesn’t understand all the way. Juan was very rude to me for no reason. I never once raised my voice with him but he raised his and tried to argue with me. I asked to speak to the manager and was advised she would be in later then all of a sudden she appeared. I asked to speak to her and was advised she was busy. I paid my hard earned money and deserved better service than what I received from Juan or Blanca. I will never eat at this place again. I asked for corporate phone number and was advised to call the same number back. Juan work on your customer service skills!!! Blanca quit allowing Juan to talk to customers rudely! We are the reason...
