I would give less than one star if possible. I visited the Cooper St location in Arlington on 3/3/18 at around 7 pm. The Hot light was on, there was only one car in the drive thru line, so I detoured from my trip to stop at one of my favorite donut shops! I waited in the drive thru for over 15 minutes and could see straight into the back of the store through the windows. An employee was on his phone the entire time I was waiting. When I pulled up to the window to take my dozen “hot” donuts, the employee handed me a box that barely felt warm. I started to hand the box back and said I think there was a mistake, I ordered a dozen hot, and he replied that they were. I opened the box and pinched a donut and it was warm. I said I really wanted hot, like you can barely put the box on your lap kind of hot. He said this is how they serve them and they are not really supposed to give them to you that hot they only do it when they are really busy. I’ve been going to Krispy Kreme for 17 years and I’ve never heard such BS. I said I really wanted them to be hot still when I got home, and he just looked at me like he wasn’t budging on his point. So I said never mind, I’ll take the donuts. I also had ordered 2 strawberry chillers and a caramel mocha latte. First, the strawberry drinks were awful! It was like drinking syrup. There wasn’t a slushy texture, ice, or anything, except at the very top. It wasn’t mixed well, just thrown in the cup. You know it’s bad when an 11 and 12 year old won’t drink it. The latte wasn’t horrible, but neither was it good. It was mediocre at best.
But the worst part of this experience was taking a bite of that “hot” (insert heavy sarcasm) glazed donut, expecting a hallelujah chorus and instead getting my 8 year old daughters piano recital song. It was like taking a bite out of Crisco. It was the single worst donut I’ve ever had from KK.
I did get a refund from Brian the supervisor, AKA, cell phone boy from the back of the store. He dropped all of my returned food in the trash, said I’m sorry, and that was it. Not only gave no explanation, but defended the donuts by saying no one else has complained.
Needless to say, I won’t be going to that location ever again! Now if I could only get this nasty taste out of...
Read moreMy granddaughter and I have enjoy this location for two years, customer service has been great, and love the donuts but today was the worst experience!
We got to, as my granddaughter calls it, the donut shop. As we parked there were three vehicles with people in them, two young girls got off their car and went to the front door.
When we approached the young ladies said the doors were locked, me thinking I knew the hours I told them it couldn't be right so I pulled another front door and yes doors were locked, i looked inside to find three employees behind the counter enjoying looking at us trying to figure out what was going on, as neither one of employees approached the door to let us know why the doors were closed.
One of the girls standing next to us said we had to go to the drive thru, as people continued to park and walk to the front door we headed to the drive thru.
When we got to the drive thru, Devana was very rude thru the speaker and when I asked if they were not going to open the dining area anymore she replied again in a rude way that they were short handed that's why they were closed.
Keep in mind there were three employees inside, their not making donuts at 7:20 pm and I go there at least ones a week so i know three employees is enough for 7:20 pm.
I asked the girl that took my payment who was the person that I was speaking to and she turned red as she replied Devanna, so i have to say, I purchased the donuts because my granddaughter says she loves them but if I would for only me I would never step this Kristy Cream location because of the three employees, specially Devanna.
I feel bad for the customer that stayed behind and the ones that were pulling...
Read moreFirst incident was with the night shift manager. She was absolutely horrible and acts as though she is the queen of donuts. She refused to give her name but I see a review from a Roxanne has the manager's picture. I was given a lemon filled donut without the filling. I called and spoke to a younger worker who said if I came back they'd replace my order. I had 3 donuts. When I returned I was talked down to by the manager, treated like a liar. She stated the girl I talked to didn't work there, then I informed her that her worker that shift stated the girl was off tonight. She replied, ' well she's not a manager and she can't tell you we'll replace an order'. I should not have to go back and forth over a donut. She had an audience as her staff gathered around the register to watch her rude antics. I apologized to them for having to work with that type of manager and told them what they are watching is not considered customer service and that she was beyond rude and unprofessional. I told them to do everything opposite of her behavior. I can't believe this woman is still employed by Krispy Kreme. I now visit this location during the day to make sure i do not have any interaction with that woman. Today I purchased an assorted dozen and this is the first time I've received donuts fried in old oil. The oil is rancid and leaves a bitter film in your mouth. Waste of $20. I was also told we couldn't get a cup of water. After spending $20 you can't get a cup of water. I even asked if I pay for the cup may I buy water and I was told they don't have cups of water. In the future i will drive farther to the Grapevine location or better yet support our local family owned...
