I’m not someone who usually takes the time to write good reviews. I’m more likely to leave one if I’ve had a bad experience. But after eating at Mr. Hibachi in Arlington, I absolutely had to say something.
From the moment we walked in, the service was top-notch. I had made a reservation and they seated us right on time, which I really appreciated, especially since the place was packed. The staff was super organized and friendly, and you could just tell they had a good system in place to handle the crowd. Now I totally understand why this place stays so busy.
Let’s talk about the food. We started with the gyoza, and honestly, it might be the best I’ve ever had. I’ve tried gyoza at plenty of Japanese restaurants, but these had incredible flavor and the perfect texture. Crispy on the outside, juicy and flavorful on the inside. I would come back just for those.
For sushi, we got the Captain Crunch roll and the Volcano roll, and both were amazing. The Captain Crunch roll was a clear favorite. It had that perfect crunch, just the right amount of sauce, and everything tasted fresh. The Volcano roll had great flavor and a bit of heat that really hit the spot. We also ordered the Avocado Crab Tower, which came with crispy chips that were such a nice touch. The combination of textures and flavors was so well done.
What really made the night memorable was the hibachi experience itself. Our chef was so fun and engaging. He had us laughing the entire time with his jokes and tricks, and you could tell he really loved what he does. The hibachi show added so much energy and excitement to the dinner. It was more than just a meal, it truly felt like an experience.
Our server was also fantastic. She was attentive without hovering, made sure our drinks were always full, and checked in just the right amount. Everything felt really well taken care of.
The restaurant had a lively, welcoming atmosphere that would be perfect for a date night, birthday celebration, or just a fun evening out with friends or family. Prices were very reasonable for the quality and portion sizes, and we definitely left full and happy.
Overall, Mr. Hibachi in Arlington delivered on every level. The food was amazing, the experience was fun and interactive, and the service was excellent. I’m already thinking about when I can come back. If you’re in the area and haven’t been yet, do yourself a...
Read moreReally enjoyed my visit here. The filet mignon and shrimp were tasty. The flavor was great. The chef, of course, was friendly and had plenty of fancy tricks to keep us entertained for a bit. The clear soup was awesome. The fried rice is really good, and I will definitely be back.

Kayla is second to none! Why even bother trying to figure out what you want to drink. Simply go to the bar and ask for Kayla. If you're smart, you'll ask her to make you something you've never tried before, like the White Gummi or just about anything fruit flavored or tropical. Just let her do her thing, and you won't be disappointed. Tell her some of the flavors you like, and she'll take care of the rest. She is by far the best mixologist I've seen.
Mr. Hibachi! Thank you for another fantastic experience!

Dear Mr. Hibachi,
I usually don't go back and update my reviews this many times, but the outstanding customer service by Kayla demands that I let the restaurant and others know about how amazing she is. She always remembers her customer's orders, their favorite drinks, their favorite foods, she's always looking out for the customer to ensure the service is top notch, or top shelf, depending on your perspective. I've been here many, many times, and I can say for certainty that she is your best employee. And then there's her ability to make drinks! I've been to many businesses throughout the years, and very few people have her level of attention to detail and her expertise with various types of flavors that go well together. I'm seriously starting to run out of superlatives to describe her and the wonderful food that consistently comes out of this kitchen. I've been to other similar restaurants and now have a list of them that I call "Not-Hibachi" whereas when I come here, I absolutely know the quality of food and service I will receive and I am a big fan. Listen to me carefully. Whatever Kayla asks you for, don't fight it, just give it to her. For however long she decides to continue working there - treasure it!

Read moreMy partner & I have been here a few times before today, 6/25/22, but today by far was our worst experience. We arrived around 820pm expecting a wait. We were told an hour & a half. We agreed and went to the bar to buy a few drinks while we waited. Towards the end of our wait, one of the managers asked us for our hibachi order. I informed her that we didn't even have a menu and that we were not ready to order. She proceeded to give us a menu and then take someone else's order. For one I felt rushed after we waited an hour and a half & had still not been seated. To make the matter worst, my partner alerted me to a huge cockroach walking in the dinning room near the bar. We alerted nearby staff and one staff member proceeded to joke & kick the bug near the bar. We then were seated & the only reason why we stayed was because the bar tender told us the to go food wasn't good & we had also waited an hour and 30 mins. It was almost 10pm on a Saturday & even if we went to another restaurant there was no guarantee that we could be seated. We reluctantly ordered after being rushed again, causing me not to want to order an appetizer or more drinks. I then spoke with a female manager who stated well why did we stay to eat? After explaining the situation she said she would go to the back. She did not notify the other manager in charge. After the hibachi chef cooked our food, I immediately got to go boxes for my partner and I, asked for the check and the manager. This time I spoke with the male manager who said he would not comp our meals but would see what he could do after apologizing for the other manager & our ordeal for the night. We were given 18.14 off our final bill & I informed the male manager we would no longer visiting the establishment. Not only was there a bug in the resteraunt that the female manager informed me of an infestation and they were taking care of it but the management was horrible in dealing with this situation. As I stated before, we had been to this establishment a few times, hence why we chose date night there but the evening was partially ruined due to what we had to endure. I did not get a picture of the bug and I understand that it's hot in TXand there are bugs but no one took this concern seriously and that was disgusting &...
