Let me start by saying I have ordered several cakes from this particular location for multiple occasions and had no concerns. On this past Saturday, I ordered a cake online for a family gathering. When I went in to pick up the cake, I was advised there was no order for me. I showed the cashier my email confirmation. She attempted to search by my name and last four of card number with no results. I shared the order number and still not results. That is my first concern. Why would the system not recognize my order number generated by the company? An employee went to the back and came back with who I assume was the manager. She took down my info and checked the confirmation email. She advised me to check my bank for the charge. I advised that I have a pending charge for the cake. She said that meant the transaction did not go through. I advised her that is not true or how pending charges work. She again reconfirmed her statement and walked to the back. Immediately after the employee realized she spelled my name wrong and located my order. I still didnât understand why it could not be located with order number or the fact that the manager acted as though my pending credit card transaction was a sign that the payment didnât go through. I think she may need to be educated in this scenario. When you use a card as credit, it doesnât automatically post. It starts as a pending charge. A pending credit card charge is a preauthorized transaction that has been approved but not yet posted to your account balance. Pending charges are also known as holds. Pending charges typically take up to three days to clear, but can take longer. The time it takes for a pending transaction to clear can vary by credit card issuer, and can range from a few days to up to a week. I realize this can occur with declined charges, but I also had confirmation from you all via email for my order. If there was a problem with payment, you...
Read moreHorrible experience for Mother's Day! That's my last visit to this place. My wife requested a cake from Nothing Bundt Cakes for Mother's Day. I went online on Friday to preorder/prepay for the cake, to be picked up on Saturday. It allowed you to choose your pickup time, so I chose 2pm. I get to this location at 2pm, and there is a line of about 75 people all the way down to the corner of the shopping center, then doubled back to the door of Nothing Bundt Cakes. I asked a worker who was out helping customers where I should go to pick up an order that was preordered. She pointed at the line of 75 people and told me that's where to go.
Let me tell you the issue. There was another line of about 8 people in front of the door. THIS was the line for those customers that didn't order in advance. You could walk up to that line, tell them what you wanted, and be gone in 10 minutes. I watched it happen several times. It took me 45 minutes to pickup a cake that was preordered. The issue is that they already had payment for the cake . They have you held hostage. Had I not paid, I would have left and found a cake elsewhere. I tried to call inside while I waited and was told that the Manager was too busy to talk. Nothing they can do.
Wouldn't common-sense tell ownership/management not to reward those that didn't preorder by giving them a shorter line. It only makes sense that customers that waited 45 minutes past their pickup time wouldn't preorder next time and be penalized for it. At least put those people that didn't preorder in the same line as those that did.
Nothing Bundt Cakes has all of these people giving them $30 for a cake that cost about $8 to make, and managing this way? I heard at least 25 customers around me complaining about the process. I think you lost a few...
Read moreIâve gotten cakes from this particular location many times but I will not be a returning customer. Service here has definitely gone downhill. I arrived around 5:21 to purchase a decorated cake for my daughter. (I couldnt go earlier because I have a job) There were 5-6 girls in the front counter and I was the only customer, one more arrived after I did. One of the girls first told me they could decorate the cake and to choose one from the big book on the opposite side. She didnt even bother looking my way when I was picking because they were busy talking among each other. I then asked, âdid you want me to just point at it?â And she said âyeah but youâll have to put it on yourself because we wont be able to do it.â I also picked some birthday candles and a birthday banner. Had it been a little earlier I wouldnt have purchased anything and gone somewhere else... Once she was checking me out I asked her what time I had to make it by next time so that they could decorate it... She said as long as I make it by 5:30 PM I would be fine. I told her that I did arrive before 5:30 since she checked me out at 5:32 but she didnt even seem to care. I know this is a franchise business so I really hope the owner gets to see that service definitely needs some improvement. Otherwise heâll continue to lose customers. In the environment that weâre in, I would really hope that there was better service because that makes or breaks a...
