Six stars! I went here last week looking for a birthday present. I stepped into my own fantasy shopping world, thinking it would be for my friend. Tea Room, 80 shops. Screaming, "Gift card, gift card." Lo, it was for me. I browsed. I discovered goat milk lotion. I got a purse size bottle and it's rich enuf to use on pulse points. My jam is "Black Dress." So much to wander through. 80 shoppes worth of eye candy!!! Then while checking out, I was asked to attend the ribbon cutting of the reopening of the tea room...tea room? Well! First of all, that tea room looks like you're literqlly sitting in Italy. It is beautiful with high ceilings, twinkle lighting, a traditional furnishings mix throughout the exquisitely furnished rooms. All done in tasteful, simple, homespun fabric and luxe details which combined to make a magical place. You will want to have a function there. My friend knew the tea room from its previous location and had already been impressed with the menu in the past. We had a chat with the chef, whom I just loved, as well as another lady who hd stated she worked there. She told us little tidbits about the place. Go there and see for yourself. This conglomeration of chic and taste is now considered one of Arlington's best kept secrets. Of course there is a storied history and key families behind all of it, but seeing is believing. Get there so you can...

However, my highlight was lunch at the attached tearoom with my wife. She enjoyed the cheese and green chili quiche, along with a salad topped with chicken. I had a club sandwich with a small cup of chicken tortilla soup. We finished our meal with a slide of coconut meringue pie - it was awfully good!! A nice touch would be some light music, perhaps, but that might not be to everyone's liking. There was a baby shower taking place on a rear room, so there appears to be at least one space that can be reserved for special events. The special of the day was pot roast with potatoes and carrots. I'm disappointed I didn't get that for my meal, although my sandwich was fine. I'll just...
