It's really sad when the cooks mess up loaded mashed potatoes on so many orders they have to take it off the menu for the night.
We order our food. Our server was sweet. You can tell she had a lot going on, so we were patient with her. It was a little hard to get refills when needed on drinks, but again, you could tell she had a lot going on.
I don't know if the same was going on in the kitchen or what, but when our food came out my grandson ordered sirloin with broccoli. He said, "Nana, my broccoli is cold". So I felt his, then tasted mine. Not only was both of ours cold, but it left a nasty aftertaste in my mouth. Our server just happen to walk by at that time and we asked for seasoned rice instead. So I continued to eat. I tried my loaded mashed potatoes. They were cold. My daughter got the same thing and she said hers were too. Her boyfriend got his plate late, and we were waiting to get someone to come over he said his was cold but his broccoli was fresh. Then the lady caddy corner from us said it's not just us, her loaded mashed potatoes were cold too. Not to mention, the broccoli had no seasoning.
By the time everything was said and done, my meatloaf was cold. So I only ate half of my rice and the freshly made loaded mashed potatoes they brought out. I was just done with it all. Paying $20 for a meal... you should not have a single cold item on your plate. They brought my daughter's boyfriend's plate out late, and he still had cold food. So, I'm not sure what the excuse could be.
That was my first and only time going to Outback. It's too expensive to get such low-quality food. The service was good, and the restaurant...
Read moreIf I could leave 0 stars I would and that would still be too generous. First off it’s 100+ degrees outside and their air conditioning was not working due to a renovation. It would have been great to inform people before they were seated and ordered. Within 15 minutes of being there it was so hot and miserable. Then it took over 30 minutes to get our appetizer. We were told their fry cook walked out and it fell through the cracks. It took over an hour to get our food, at that point we asked for it to be put in to go containers because it was too hot to eat it there. Everyone around us was fanning themselves. We listened to all the tables around us complain about the heat, their food being incorrect etc…. Our waiter stopped coming to our table completely and the “manager” Amanda brought over our ticket. After all of that they tried to charge us full price! She couldn’t find the QR code for their survey, convenient right??? She was extremely unprofessional and completely unhelpful. It’s insane to me she was the manager. And I see why the fry cook walked out! Then once we got home with the food it was completely inedible.
We are part of a family that goes to this location frequently. Over the last few months this location has gone completely downhill. This was the final straw. Save yourself the headache and avoid this place like the plague. The environment and the poor management has ruined...
Read moreI wanted to share some feedback about my recent visit on Thursday night at OUTBACK in Arlington,TX. Outback has always been one of my favorite places, and I often speak highly of it to others. Unfortunately, this visit was a huge letdown.
I arrived about an hour before closing—not ideal, I know—but that shouldn't justify the poor food quality. ((I was craving it))The service was good and the restaurant wasn't busy, so I expected a solid experience.
We ordered two of the 3-course meal. I chose the house salad and added extra bacon and eggs. The salad came out mostly full of hard stock pieces, with very little of the good stuff. The bread was fantastic, and the Lavender drink was great too—but those were the only highlights.
The main issue was with the steak. We ordered an 8 oz steak cooked medium well, and it came out rare. When we sent it back, it was overcooked and came back dry and nearly well done. That kind of back-and-forth really took away from the experience—and we ultimately left hungry and unsatisfied. As it was now closed and I didn't want to wait for another remake so I paid for everything else and left.
It was disheartening to visit a place I usually enjoy and leave so disappointed. I hope this feedback helps improve consistency, especially during late evening service. Thank you for taking the time...
