Used to like this place but unfortunately my recent experience was a disaster. Didnāt like the service or how it was handled. Iām tired of paying expensive prices for mediocre nail service and not getting what I ask for and just settling and not liking the service and leaving not fully satisfied and have to go else where just to pay more money to get the issue fixed. My toe is still sore from my skin being hit with the drill, I said ouch and the lady just kept going and I told her she nicked me and the nippers was used to clean the cuticles but she kept snipping skin and even had to retreat to a different tool because she caused me to say ouch again. She didnāt take time to make sure I was ok and I tried to tell her that hurt both times. I knew she wasnāt doing it right and she did not do my pedicure correctly messed up my toes and I had alcohol put on my feet and I was burning and I told them and that confirmed what I said about being hurt. That was brushed off I do not like this last experience American nail bar I am offended and disappointed. My overlay was not done correctly shaping was sloppy and ugly and rushed. Pedicure wasnāt fully completed feet was only in the water 1 minute didnāt get to enjoy because most of the time was spent trying to fix the bad work that was done. They wanted me to pay for that foolishness I feel very under valued as a customer and not happy with this place this left a bad taste in my mouth. I really wanted to like this place. Donāt be fooled by the many 5 star reviews they ask customers to leave a good review that offer free gifts for 5 star reviews they got me like that my first time and there advertising in the salon asking at the front. Iām not saying this is a terrible place because itās not, my experience that went wrong was with one person not every nail tech is bad this was a isolated incident. I left this review due to the way things was handled and I felt instead of receiving a better solution and try to make things right to retain me as a customer they did not...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreProbably the worst pedicure Iāve ever had..I came up here to meet my mom and was in a hurry. I decided not to say anything but didnāt see how BAD it was until I got home. They finished our pedicures so quickly. I havenāt had a pedicure in a while, but they normally use the more heavy duty file and I barely got 3 seconds of the weakest one. We paid for two deluxe pedicures ($40 option) and I know for a fact that my mom did not get that. She repeated herself 4 times that she wanted the refresh pedicure. The manager talked me into the deluxe one for the hot stones, I was never asked by my nail tech. I was just given the paraffin wax. My mom did not get this so we were sneakily charged extra for no reason. Again, I was in a hurry so I didnāt have time to deal with this and quite honestly I didnāt want my mom to be upset since this was supposed to be her treat and this is her regular spot. They also failed to ask us if we wanted a drink until 20 mins in. My nails look dirty and gross. It literally looks like a five year old painted my nails. My nails are uneven. I have a ton of skin around the nail just sitting there and on my right big toe the polish is chipped. Some of my toes arenāt even fully painted and have different levels of coats. On my left big toe, he went to apply a clear coat and accidentally got some purple on there..itās white. So, instead of wiping it off and fixing it, he applied a coat in the center and now it looks incredibly lumpy. I also ended up having to leave early, but my mom was going to get her nails done too. After her pedicure she waited 20 mins by herself and by time I left she STILL had not been seen. By the way, we had an appointment for all of this. I still tipped. This was meant to be a special get together for my mom and I. I think Iāll suggest a different nail place if we do this again. All the other stuff is understandable if itās busy, but the horrible paint job and sneakily charging us extra is...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis was my first time coming to the American Nail Bar, but it is also rare that I go anywhere to pamper myself, due to some experiences that were not so good, in dealing with getting my hands and feet done. I went to this location in Arlington on a Friday morning, the weekend of Mother's Day and my college graduation. The surrounding area is a little busy, due to that its located near the Parks Mall, but upon entering this facility, I was immediately welcomed and the chic appearance had my attention! I usually like to know what type of service I want ahead of time, but since it had been years that I've had anyone to do my hands and feet, and I'm a little bashful, I just chose an option really quickly because I didn't want to hold up the process. The gentleman at the front counter did go over some of the services, though. I chose the Pearl Pedicure, and the Dipping Powder for my manicure. Lisa, worked on my manicure and she did exactly what I asked for, as well as give some suggestions. She massaged my hands and arms, up to my elbows and placed a warm towel over my hands. Hugh, did my Pearl Pedicure and he was excellent! I have flat feetš«, so he did them some justice! He massaged my legs up to my knees, and all the way back down, to the soles of my feet. He also placed long slices of cucumber around my legs, wrapped my feet and legs in hot towels, and rubbed my legs with hot stones....oh yeah, both professionals asked about the heat tolerance too. Lisa and Hugh were also sociable and made me feel super relaxed! I'm most definitely going back, and it would be great to take someone so they can enjoy tooš complimentary drinks are served at this facility too, I had a mimosa! Thank you Hugh and Lisa, for the...
