My husband and I went out for Saint Patrick’s day here. I know that’s a little unorthodox, but everywhere else was busy and we both had long trips coming up and we’re going to be separated for a bit (I also just wanted a margarita). Jared was our server and he was absolutely amazing. He was engaging in our conversations, engaging with the baby, and just overall such a sweet guy! On the way out, I saw someone who looked to be a manager, his name was Kyle. Kyle was also amazing. He let us know that he was new and held conversation with us as well, even as he was trying to lock up because it was closing. I’ve worked and managed restaurants my whole career, so I know when people have good intentions, or are just saying they do. I truly believe that Kyle will be awesome for this place. My husband and I are still a bit new to the area, we only moved in October 2023, and only had come once before here (service was awesome as well, I cannot remember the woman’s name for the life of me though ): ), and this will probably be our spot that we go to when we don’t want to try something new or just need some comfort food. I literally had the beef tacos, so basic, yet so good?! Typing this, I’m actually thinking of them right now and craving them. I love it here, and can’t wait to come back when I’m back home. Hopefully Jared is working, we will be requesting him 🙌🏼

Visited during lunchtime for a table of five, we got seated right away. The hostess, waitstaff, & management were all very hospitable. I can't remember our writer's name (Travis, maybe? Glasses, taller dude) but he was excellent, not just with us but the other tables around us as well. Kudos to him! The manager (Amber? I really hope my listening skills are still sharp, lol) also stopped by twice to check in. Food was delicious, nice & hot. My sister in law is a vegetarian, of course it's nice to see several options for her rather than just one or two. She had a salmon dish which she said was good, my brother enjoyed his chicken bowl, Dad devoured his steak/chicken fajitas, while my mom & I enjoyed enchiladas. I'm also very happy that they made an accommodation for my allergies, I am allergic to shrimp so instead of shrimp & crab enchiladas they made mine with just crab. They didn't skimp on the crab either & oh my... UH-MAZINGGG! Restrooms needed a little love & the menus probably could've been wiped down. Prices are what you'd expect for quality & portion of food, no complaints there. Other than that, quick & friendly service with tasty food! We've been here several times & will continue to do so, happy to have an Uncle Julio's in Arlington!

I love the atmosphere here. It's so fresh and inviting. My sister has been before and was looking forward to the tableside quacamole, but Covid ruins everything, you know? They couldn't make it at the table, but they still make it and it's fantastic! I forgot to get a pic because we dug right in but it was the prettiest quac I've ever seen. I had a beef fajita bowl and it was quite tasty. My sister had the taco salad, and wow! A beautiful cornucopia of colors and flavors. I was surprised at the dessert they offer, I've never seen anything like it. It's a chocolate piñata. They give you a little mallet to crack it open and inside is a combination of pineapple, strawberries and churros. A bit too sweet for my taste and the chocolate tasted kind of fake, like that cheap Palmers chocolate, but it was a cool experience, especially if you have kids. The only thing that irritated me was their take out boxes. They were so small, those little Styrofoam divided containers. I never thought I'd care about take out boxes until I tried putting my leftovers away. All in all, a great experience. Oh, and the blackberry margarita was DELICIOUS!

I really wanted to like this place, but left more than disappointed. I had heard some good things but upon leaving and looking at the reviews, post visit, they make sense.

Wait and what’s missing were the words of our visit. Wait for a server to even acknowledge us after being seated. Wait for water, waited to order dinner until the apps on the table were finished. Wait for a new glass as the one I got had a nice chip in the rim. Wait for rice and beans, asked twice when they did not get delivered with the meals they came with. Missing a salad that came with 1 meal. I ordered the chicken burrito bowl, which was missing the avocado crème. Missing our waiter, who while surface friendly was slow and seemed to have 0 sense of urgency. Missing chips for quac and queso that was delivered. Missing fresh chips as on of the bowls was stale.

A few bites into my chicken burrito bowl which had little chicken to begin with I found meat. I think it was hamburger but could have been pork, doesn’t matter, I don’t eat meat. Having Crohn’s disease it’s a no for me, so I didn’t bother to eat anymore. Let the waitress know and she had the mngr come over, Erika was her name I believe, who offered to remake the dish. She was pleasant but I declined to have it remade as offered. Didn’t see the point It was over spiced and the rice seemed undercooked anyway. It would have been nicer if they offered to take it off my bill as it was almost a full bowl of food.

Drinks were ok. Ordered a margarita, it was tasty but not $15 tasty. Chuy’s makes a better top shelf one.

A little positivity the atmosphere was good. The restaurant itself was nice inside and out. I had thought we would order dessert, it looked really cool, but about half way through the meal I already knew I was not willing to pay for a $35 chocolate piñata.

$200 for dinner not including tip, for a nice atmosphere but subpar food and service was enough for me. Sadly I will not be returning, hope they step up their game for the...

I came here to have a nice birthday dinner, and even though the food was amazing, the customer service is pathetic. The young lady at the entry was super rude! I walked in and wasn’t greeted or even asked if I had a reservation. I stand there looking dumb for about 10-15 mins in hopes she makes an attempt to come my way and ask how many people and provide an estimated wait time, but I guess I was asking for too much. I finally walk up to the front desk and I ask her how much longer would we have to wait till we are seated. She proceeds telling me about 30 more minutes, and still doesn’t ask for my name or the number of people! After a long wait we are finally seated! I specifically chose this place because of their famous chocolate piñata, so as soon as we get a waiter, I ask her for the damn chocolate piñata. The waitress tells me she will put in a request after we finish eating, keep in mind it’s 8pm, the place closes at 9pm. I wasn’t okay with it but I agreed so we could begin to order. As we were eating, she probably came by once to ask if everything was okay. I asked for a refill and she hesitated, I asked for an additional order of chicken fajitas and she hesitated. At about 5 mins before 9pm she comes and gives me my check and tells me that the pastry place is closed and I am unable to get a chocolate piñata cake. I know it may not seem like much, but it was MY birthday and it was important for me. I only really chose to go eat there because of the chocolate piñata. But will not be coming back to this location ever. I really hope this review is ready by their management and a change is made because honestly the food is amazing but with customer service like that, it’s not worth paying the...

I really wish that I could give it no stars!!! Let me begin by saying that Uncle Julio’s is my mother’s favorite restaurant. We usually have a positive experience, however that was not the case on 08/06/25 at 8:30pm at the Arlington location. We arrived a placed our drink order with our server which were The Swirl margarita with a GM floater. We received the drinks with no floater. Next, as our food came out, all the modifications were incorrect. Our waiter, Jonathan, went to tell the kitchen staff about the incorrect orders. The kitchen staff then began to argue with him about the modifications. Jonathan then returned to our table, where we informed him that we could hear everything the kitchen staff was saying from where we were sitting. Our server then apologized for the unprofessionalism. We then had to return our condiments because we received crème instead of sour cream. When our waiter went back to the kitchen, a woman, who I later found out was the manager Melissa, began yelling an our server. Afterward we were so disappointed that we closed our tab and took our food To go. At no point in our visit did the manager, Melissa, come to apologize for the mistakes or the disruption that her and her staff caused. I understand that at the end of the shift everyone is ready to go home. I was ready to go as well, however, the disrespect and unprofessionalism that we endured is unacceptable. It is my hope that you and your staff do better in the future but until then, I will just go to the...
