Edit: I'm updating my rating because this location has definitely turned around. The staff are far kinder, more helpful, and make consistent quality food and drinks about 90% if the time. There are still occasionally duds and mix-ups, but that will happen everywhere. And I will fault no one for the occasional error. I only rated lower on atmosphere because the lobby is usually closed. I don't mind this. But others may. Keep up the good work.
I go to this location far more than it deserves. I always think, "Maybe it'll be better this time. Maybe, just maybe, my favorite drink will not taste like a coffee stain on cardboard covered in mud." Sometimes, it is fine. And I'm so thrilled that I go back. Then, lo' and behold, the service and drinks are atrocious.
Don't get me wrong, there are a couple very kind and very diligent employees at the Arnold location who I'm always delighted and thrilled to see. But those times are few and far between.
On vast majority of our visits, the coffee is made inconsistently. A caramel blueberry swirl signature latte has a recipe. All the drinks have a recipe. Yet, so frequently, I receive watered down expresso with little to no flavor and no form of cream--in spite of that specific drink having its own unique recipe. My husband gets mocha iced coffee with cream. Sounds simple, right? Hardly. Sometimes there's only one or two pumps of mocha for his large drink, and we never request less. Other times, we request cream but receive no cream. We never request granulated sugar but there it is! Crunching in the bottom of the cup.
I can't even count how many times we've received poorly made drinks. It's to the point where we're actually surprised if we don't have to modify the drink at home to make it somewhat palatable
Another experience I've had was placing an order for pickup (as the Arnold location is somehow suddenly booming). I arrived roughly 15 minutes after the order was placed. I was fully prepared for my ice to be a bit melted. Totally fine. But what I arrived to was a line of customers also waiting for pickup, being ignored by a staff who was giggling and horsing around while doing only drive-thru orders. I gave them the benefit of a doubt. Perhaps everyone had arrived only shortly before me. No. They hadn't. Two customers could see their orders bagged and labeled on the back counter. Their drinks either sat incomplete by the machines (one merely needed a lid!) or fully complete on the counter.
A gentleman doing a door dash stated had been waiting patiently for about 10 minutes prior to my arrival. He called out to anyone behind the counter multiple times and NEVER received even a glance. They continued to laugh and joke, oblivious to the customers waiting and growing more frustrated by the moment.
Another woman stormed out, rightfully upset. Even if I didn't approve of her conduct. Be kind even if you're mad, people!
At this point I had been waiting for almost 10 minutes and made the decision to leave. I had a soccer game to get to and I wasn't going to wait for the impossible: good service at the Arnold, MO Dunkin.
Not cool, DD. I know how coffee and service work as a previous Starbucks employee. Up your game. You...
Read moreNot friendly but not rude either. Definitely not a bunch that makes any small talk with the customer. The unfortunate thing here is, customer service is about making your customers feel welcome and to make them want to come back. A lot of the reviews on here are terrible and most are about customer service issues. The manager should really bring these issues to the forefront and make sure the crew is polite, friendly, welcoming, these are all attributes that keep customers happy and coming back. And hey, it also helps get good reviews which then turns into more customers and more good reviews and before you know it your store is booming all the time and hitting record numbers. Kindness goes a long way...This crew could definitely use a class in customer service etiquette. Im assuming the pay is somewhat low for the manager and maybe there is less care than there truly should be by said manager. Who knows. Take care of your employees and your employees will take care of the customer. My main issue with this store is they never and I mean NEVER have the chocolate chip cookie dough pre-packed. So I end up paying 3 bucks more a quart because someone scoops it. Kind of rediculous, if you are always low, order more inventory. But hey, u are making an extra 3 bucks a quart this way. Oh I have an idea! Maybe use that extra 3 bucks that keeps adding up for the customer service intervention needed at this store 😉🤔 seriously though a little friendly demeanor would do this...
Read moreThe owner should watch their security cameras at about 4:11pm on Oct 6th. My wife and I stood at the counter for 5 minutes before even being greeted. There was one car at the window and no one behind him (when he left no one else pulled up). There was one customer at the coffee counter, but 3 employees. Finally after 5 minutes we were told that someone would be right with us. After that we waited another few minutes and still no one helped us.
The store itself was dirty... the toppings bin that they display on top of the counter clearly hadn't been cleaned in a while. The air vents on the ceiling had dust all over them as well as the ceiling tiles around them. The counter top above the ice cream had multiple globs of ice cream that clearly dripped and was never wiped up... one of the had clearly already dried up so it had to have been there for a couple of hours at least.
When we finally left we just walked out and said thanks anyway. The guy behind the counter said thank you (I think)... but for what?
Honestly come to think of it... because of how dirty the restaurant was, I'm glad we didnt get service... it gave us the...
