La Mirage Restaurant & Nightclub — Restaurant in Artesia

I absolutely love la mirage. its not the best looking place or the most attractive people. i cant stand techno music or any of that. i love hip hop i love to dance. im sick of people jumping around to house music. The djs get down there. its not that huge of a club but there's 2 separate rooms. the main one and the other they play Latin vibes..so you get a mixture of a crowd and security is strict there. If there is a problem its handled immediately. The vibe is different there.. you def. wont see a bunch of people rolling giving light shows there so if that's your scene you deff. wont like la mirage.. if you like hip hop and west coast music i reccomend it.. sort of ghetto scene but it cracks. Kind of like a house party that got moved to a club. Hope this helps. I believe its still $15 on thurs days $15 on fridays and $20 on sat. Which isnt bad. 2 Bars. 18 and over Club.. Worst security guards ever. They got mad just because I told one of the security guard I wasn't talking to him. He decided to put his hands on Me for no apparent reason. I advised him not to put his hand on. He got really belligerent and hostile and proceeded to assault me with his flashlight. Luckily, I wasn't strike with his flashlight so hard. So I brush it off. I told him what was his problem. apparently, the security guards are running a tyranny inside the club. Eventually, all security started to put hands on me for no reason. They practically decided who stays inside. Cops did nothing. I told the Cops I would like to press charges for assault and they ignored my request. The security guard has no right to put hands on you. I will be requesting the names of the gaurds who assaulted me and deputies who failed to serve a law-abiding citizen to file two separate lawsuits. Okay yes it's free before 10. But $20 after that? This place was SO crowded and small, not worth the line wait or the $20. And it definitely is an 18 and over club. There's nothing but young kids. Music choice on the hip hop side was okay. The Latino side was a bit better. Being here honestly felt like being at a school dance. There's cops everywhere by the way. So with that being said, me and my friends found a kid that, was most likely at the club before we found him, lying face down behind an electrical box by the gas station across from the club. We went straight to the cops that were parked right outside the club to tell them to check if he was okay. They never bothered. Just putting that out there. Not coming here again.
