Us Donut — Restaurant in Artesia

Bought a half dozen donuts (priced at 9.75) and I paid with card. The cashier (an elderly asian woman) goes to the counter in the back to pay with the card. 2 things I immediately notice: She doesn't hand back a receipt. She throws in $1.50 cash into the tip jar.

I think both of those things are odd, so I go to check how much is charged from my card once I go back into my car. I see a pending charge of $13.50. Even if you include the tax for $9.75, $13.75 is obvious way above that amount.

So, in short: the cashier stole from me and to hide this, did not give me a receipt so I would not notice the overcharge.

I only noticed this by manually checking my bank account. If she's been doing this to other customers, there's a good chances shes openly stolen hundreds of dollars as "tips". Do...

I thought this place was cool. I came over here 2 days ago ask if they took credit cards they said yes. Gave them amex and went through.
