I came here with family on a Friday evening for dinner, and was shocked at how empty this place was? We were the only guests dining from around 5 to 7 PM. I assume they must have just opened but it appears they've been around for a few years. We sat down and they must have opened for the evening as it was a little humid inside, but they turned on the air conditioning which was much better.
They bring out a complementary papadum with trio of chutneys - tamarind, cilantro, and mango. They seem to be small portions but have a ton of flavor, so you don't need gobs of it. The papadum are rolled and presented nicely. The menu was enjoyable as they had cute names for a lot of dishes, but was a little confusing as they don't separate items by appetizer, main dish, etc., and rather by what they feature such as veg, fish, beef, rice, and so on. We ordered the chicken and Punjabi samosas, which were both really good. The chicken samosas were a little suspect similar to the Trader Joe's ones. I mean they were still good and we ate them, but still.
We shared the chicken tikka masala, which was exceptional, the sauce was amazing and the chicken was tender. We also ordered Szechuan Aloo Gobi, Dry Chilli Paneer, and the Hakka Noodles; and for the breads we got the garlic butter naan, butter naan, and onion kulcha. The food was excellent and the portions were more than enough to share with much leftover to take home. The only dish that seemed a little over-flavored (?) was the Dry Chilli Paneer, it had a bit much of a particular spice I couldn't place and thus made it hard to eat for me. My niece ordered the noodles and those actually turned out to be my favorite of what we ordered. The naans were very good as well and they used plenty of...
Read more2nd review, 29May2023, overall 3*: food prices have increased significantly, almost double. Quantity reduced and gravy is now served without rice. Means you have to pay extra. This time, tried dry chili baby corn - 5, hot and sour soup - 4, methi Malai paneer - 3, mushroom masala - 1, Angara naan was not Angara and it was soggy - 2*. Very disappointed, spent $95 but food was not entirely prepared well, could've been better. We will continue to go there just for appetizers then.
1st Review, 5 years ago, overall 2: enough space insider and for parking. good ambiance. 2 for place, parking and ambiance only. But ultimately a family goes for good food. We went 5th time, order hot-n-sour veg soup, came cold, told the server, he promised that fresh one would come quick, but then same old soup came after 30 minutes, like they would have micro-waved it and served it. Second, pathetic wait time even though it was only 20% full. Third, no synchronization between servers. One has already taken the order, another one would come after 30 minutes and would ask "Sir are you ready for your main course"... are you F* kidding me? What happened to the order I gave 45 minutes back, upon asking, it will serve as cold. Main course deliver first, then appetizers are delivered. Upon asking, "Oh sorry sir, wouldn't happen again". Really!!!! I would not...
Read moreEnjoyed a great evening at this restaurant for my sister's birthday. We ordered several plates, some that I didn't even get a chance to take a picture of, but all in all the food was great. Went on a Sunday evening just after 5pm. There was very few people in the restaurant, so getting good service and attentiveness was not an issue. Our server was knowledgeable and helpful with us ordering. We almost ordered more than we should have by not knowing the portions on some of the dishes. However our server was kind enough to point out some things and caused us to change our mind on some items. Glad we did as what we ended up ordering was just the right amount. We ordered plenty of Garlic Naan, Tandoori Chicken, Chicken Tiki Masala, Jeera Rice, Chicken Biryani, Lamb Rogan Josh, Some vegetables and a few Royal Lassi. We took the dishes are they were served, we did not modify the spice level. As a family we can hold our own when it comes to spicy food and the flavor and heat were spot on. We will definitely be back. Can't say we had a bad dish, as we finished pretty much everything. If you are not into spicy foods, I would suggest to let them know ahead of time, although to really get the taste in full effect, you really need to try it as it...
