This place... is garbage. I ordered a pepperoni and sausage pizza with mushrooms and peppers. ( they didn't have spinach, or red peppers ). My friend got a pineapple, Canadian bacon, jalapeno and bacon. Both with mozzarella cheese.
Let's start with pep and sausage pizza. Sauce was watery, like just ketchup witd tomatoes paste to thicken. No flavor, dripped off the pizza. The cheese slid off with it. Mushrooms on half the pizza., even though I ordered a full 18 inch. Crust was very thin, no fluff. It felt like a chef boyardee pizza, or a jiffy corn bread pizza dough. Like, no yeast what so ever. No salt in the crust, just tasted like normal bread.
The bacon and pineapple pizza, sucked. Canned pineapple, too sweet to enjoy, the ham tasted salty. The bacon tasted like pre packed salad bacon. The jalapenos were surprisingly fresh, but not hot.
The choice of mozzarella cheese is bad. Oily, burnt in the middle, but the sides were not. It felt like string cheese was used, and not sargento, like 99 cents store string cheese.
Now that I think about it, the pizzas they had in the case, selling as a single slice, were not under a heat lamp. The ice machine part of the soda machine, did not work.
I'll give credit to the one person working there for all the work. But just... it's so bad. I've had school pizza better. Frozen pizza is better. Little Caesar's is better. Like, we paid $19.75 ( and thats because he gave us a discount for being new ). I highly reccomend you stear clear of those place. It's not worth the money. You can make a pizza out of the boboli pizza crust from the store better.
Maybe I'm judgemental, maybe I expected too much. Take it...

Stumbling upon a flyer lying in the parking lot of 99 Ranch, my eyes spied a coupon for 2 free slices of pizza. Not needing any other motivation than that, we drove the couple blocks to Brookynz Pizza to check out their fare.
Inside, we checked out the various pizzas to select from. After having a look through, we chose a slice of pepperoni & a slice of bacon chicken pesto. They were both warmed up and brought to our table for a late lunch.
Both slices had a thin, yet foldable, crust. I much preferred the bacon chicken pesto. I can't for certain if these slices live up to the legendary status of NY pizza, but I enjoyed the food.
Service was ok. The man behind the register quickly grabbed the slices we wanted, prior to warming them up. Seating is minimal, with a few tables. The icemaker was very loud, which bothered us a little during our meal.
Parking is at the Stater Bros./ CVS shopping center, with Brooklynz Pizza located on the left of Stater Bros., in between Subway & Flame Broiler.
Brooklynz Pizza serves up some good pies, whole or by the slice. I don't indulge in pizza very often, but when I do decide I want some cheesy, doughy fare, I'd keep Brooklynz Pizza in mind, over the many chain pizza places on every...
Read moreIf you're a fan of NYC or you're from NYC and feeling home sick and misses the lifestyle and the pizza at New York, well this is the place to go.
I wouldn't say that its better than any of the pizza that I have in NY but it's the closest thing that we Californians could get. In fairness to this place if we go in to details about it, New York water is different than LA therefore to those who think that the pizza in this place is like NY or we will be the same level well sorry to break the news to you it will never be.
However... Here is the big BUT. This place holds its own flavour and quality. Why? The pizza taste great it's not your typical Pizza Hut, Papa John's or Domino's its actually quite good. The bread is chewy and not too hard or not too soft and they put a lot of topings in their pizza.
Yes it isn't the same as NY but it can definitely compete against other pizza parlours that claims that they are New York style pizza.
Yes the wait is a little long but it's understandable because the guy makes the pizza right in front of you. The gentleman over there also offered us a free drink while we wait. Very professional and courteous of him. My wife and I would definitely go back to get a...
