I will never recommend this place ever again. After years of eating here and many celebrations tonight was our last. After sitting at our table with 7 adults and 2 kids, WE as a family witnessed a MANAGER taking a plate of rolls back to the buffet and sliding them back onto the buffet. After confronting the manager he swore to us we were mistaking and that it didn’t happen as he proceeded to tell us we can think we saw it happen, but it didn’t. He said she placed the butter back on the buffet. Regardless of what she put on or off the bar, it is against FDA regulation. After he left we finished eating as a family. While at the dessert bar we can here the same guy telling all of his employees how we accused them of sliding food back onto the bar and going on and on about how he isn’t the one to play with. Little did he know we were right there the entire time and heard everything he had to say. As a manger that was poor customer service and poor employee leadership. You taught all of your employees that it is appropriate to show your anger towards customers in public. Right before we left our waitress informed us they checked the cameras and it did not happen, so we requested to see the video. We were shown the video and of course they were argumentative that it wasn’t what we saw. We dropped it, told them we didn’t want a seen, we just wanted them to be aware that we saw what they did. The 2 managers and the woman who showed us the video huttled in the corner throwing their hands up, making faces and all as we were walking out. Once again, little did they know we saw it all, as we walked at...
Read moreI arrived at about 2 pm Christmas Eve day. There were only about 7 other people there. I purchased the buffet option using my senior discount for only $10.99, which included a drink. The buffet selections were numerous & everything looked freshly prepared. I usually have the meatloaf as it is a favorite of mine along with mashed potatoes & brown gravy and corn. I also picked out a fresh yeast roll, which is another favorite of mine. Shortly after I sat myself, a friendly server approached and asked me if there was anything I needed. I said I was ok for now. Then she asked me what I was drinking & I told her it was iced sweet tea. Later, she came by and dropped off a full glass of sweet tea as my glass got close to empty. After finishing my first plate (which is rather small), I went back for more food. My selection this time was some freshly grilled chicken off of the hot grill. Added some fried okra and more corn to my plate. Everything was delicious & as I was very full, I decided not to get anything from the desert bar, which had a very large selection of pies, cakes, cookies & ice cream. There was also a very nice fruit & salad bar for those that prefer those items. I highly recommend this restaurant as it has always had very good food & service. I did leave a tip at the table...
Read moreThe worst experience I ever had in the 12 years I'd lived in Asheboro. My family and I arrived at Golden corral before 11:00 am and waited on line , by the time we got up to the register it was 11:05 and we was told we could still get breakfast. When we got to the omelet line the lady refused to make our omlet and was very rude and as I was getting my juice from the juice machine another lady pulled the plug as I getting my orange juice and started to wave the plug in my face and said it's not going to work it's not going to work. We tried to tell them that the manager said we can still get breakfast and the lady at the omlete station and the lady that pulled the juice plug just was so rude and the lady that pulled the plug started speaking Spanish to another customer about our situation wanting breakfast after 11:00 am . Thanks to my daughter knowing and speaking fluent Spanish she was able to tell me that the employee and customer was talking about us. This is the last time my family and I will be at this GOLDEN CORRAL IN ASHEBORO NC. Very...
