HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!!!!! My husband and I went to the IHOP in Asheboro on Saturday, 10/29. We arrived around 8:45 am and the restaurant was not busy at all. We were seated immediately and the waitress came over to take our order. She brought us our coffee and that was the last we saw of her. About 15 minutes later - and wanting a coffee refill we kept looking for our waitress and never saw her. There was a group of other waitresses standing at the front talking, laughing, and NEVER looking around at any of the customers. I sat there waving my hands to get someones attention - nothing. Several other waitresses would come out of the kitchen area and all seemed to be looking up at the ceiling or down at the floor - NEVER at the customers or ME waving my hands - STILL no waitress. FINALLY I grabbed out coffee pot that had been placed on our table and I walked about 5 steps to the kitchen area where I found about 5 waitresses all standing there chatting and laughing. I said EXCUSE ME - and they all turned around looking startled. I said that we have been sitting here for over 15 minutes wanting more coffee and our waitress is MIA. They asked where we were sitting and I turned and pointed to our table. ANOTHER waitress came and brought our coffee - still waiting on food - almost 25 minutes later. MEANWHILE - one of the waitresses husband had come in with 2 kids and were seated behind us. HE got his food pretty quickly and us still no food and our waitress never came out to our table to even apologize for the coffee. My husband said he'd had enough so we got up and left before ever receiving our food. Also noticed that a wall that was near our table had the vacuum, brooms, cleaning supplies leaned up against it - waitresses kept walking around it - no one ever bothered to move it out of the way. Also the table of food leftover from the people that left right when we were seated sat there the entire time without being cleaned up.    Read moreI ordered curbside service. Called the restaurant multiple times when I got there. No answer. I received a text telling me to let them know I was there. I completed the text and was told my order would be out soon. 20 minutes later, nothing. I went into the restaurant and waited again for someone to help me. Someone finally came and went to look for my order. She came back and said there was no order for me. I showed her my confirmation and she went to get the Manager who came out a few minutes later. She told me they could not find my order and said they have a new system and it had been giving them trouble with some of the orders. She looked again and it was actually there. It just hadn't been processed. She apologized and said she would get the order done quickly and offered me drinks. About 15 minutes later the food came out. It was brought to me and the girl who brought it said she would grab the coffees. While she was doing that, I checked my order and one if my meals was missing. I told her I was missing an omelet meal and the gravy for another of the meals. While she was getting that, I further realized that one of our sides was also missing. When I told her she was noticeably annoyed. She got the side brought it back and didn't say a word. I told her that I had been there nearly 50 minutes after my order was supposed to be ready and the order was not right when I got it. Her comment was: it wasn't right? I told her I was missing three different items. The last thing I needed was an attitude after waiting 50 minutes for a to go order. The manager and first girl who tried to help were friendly but I did not see the Manager after that. One night me and my mom went to dine in at around 8 pm, around the end of january 2025. the restaurant was almost empty there was only 3 tables in total counting us and one table was getting ready to leave, 2 ppl max per table. Our waitress genuinely looked like and acted like a crackhead, we waited for TWO hours in which she left us unattended for the entirrty of those 2 hours, not even offering a refill for my moms coffee and we had just ordered a simple burger and a steak omelet. The cook legitimately stank, he walked past our table and we almost gaged from the stench coming from him. By the time we recieved our food the other tables had already left a long time ago. Overall it was a horrible experience. After many months me an my mom decided to try it out again and go during breackfast hour instead today, the waitress was nice but we waitred 1 hour and 30 minutes for 2 steak omelets with some avocado adds. By the time the waitress came with our order my mom was missing her avocado adds. the avocado slices were so thin and only came in three plus they didn't look fresh at all. I was missing 1 out of the 3 pancakes and she took forever to bring the avocado slices that my mom was missing. perhaps the cooks take forever to prepare the food idk but the wait time is outrageous and on top of that they get your food wrong too.
