Love to see a place paying tribute to local servicemen. Maybe 400 pictures of community members who have served our country. 7 of us dined here after visiting the zoo. Absolutely everything we had was wonderful. Our server and her service were better than I've had in many restaurants; upscale or otherwise. We never ran out of drinks. Refills were plentiful. All our food was wonderful. This will be my go to place for when we visit the zoo. Can't say enough good things about this place. The owner cooks, brings some of the food to the table, runs the register some and more than unusual, thanked us for coming to eat there. No this wasn't some spiel from Chicfila but a local business owner that means everything he says.

Fantastic food and service! We used Jed’s to cater a baby shower for 60 people and the experience was wonderful. Danny, the owner, made sure everything was ready for pick up on time and took care of all our needs. He advised me how much food to order for our crowd and was spot on! The pulled pork bbq, buns, slaws (red/white), macaroni and cheese, baked beans, hush puppies, and sauces were excellent. He kept everything warm in tins and a fancy cambro for transportation. Danny even ensured that we had crushed ice for our gallons of sweet tea. He truly went above and beyond! I highly recommend eating at Jed’s and going to them for all of your catering needs. You won’t find better than Danny!

Great home cooking. Good service. Country cooked vegetables. Excellent rolls. Tea is great. They are busy but service is good. Reliable stop fo a nice square meal. "Jed" is busy behind the scenes making sure everything is quality. I know from being the Pastor at Sawyersville Wesleyan, that they do a great to go, catered job too! Solid 4.0. Probably more of a 4.2 or 4.3. It is on my list of local faves, in Asheboro. Parking is a little tight. Give yourself and them a break, ... & come a little before or after major meals times, for a better experience..

I have told people Jed's has good food especially their flounder. I sat twenty minutes in their drive-thru today and I got baby flounder and shrimp(which I didn't order and don't eat) it was supposedly their $6.49 special. Well I paid $12.23 for my plate and couldn't eat anything but the two lousy pieces of flounder which was greasy and not tasty at all. Even if I did eat shrimp which I don't it was saturated in grease. The creamed potatoes tasted like they were doused with some type of weird tasting burned grease instead of butter and the squash wasn't even cooked just more battered grease. To top it off the cocktail sauce (was good before) tasted like it was laced with pine sol. I have gotten good food in the past, but considering the amount of time I sat wasting my gas for a nasty plate of food and almost an hours pay and was still hungry .Oh no its the last...

If I could give this place less than 1 star I would! This was the most disgusting food I have EVER had!!! Starting off with the tea, im not sure what was wrong with it but it was unbearable but I didn't mention it and decided to continue with my meal. I went to a bbq place so, I ordered a chopped bbq plate expecting they knew how to make bbq!! It was the wettest plate of slop that they had just dumped some bbq sauce on, I wouldn't even let my dog eat it! The frys were under cooked with no salt, the hush puppies taste as if they were left under a heat lamp for over an hour. I asked for a togo box and put all my food in it, and got the check. I paid for it and left. Promptly trashed the unedible food and went in search of food suitable for human consumption. I would not recommend this...

Lemme tell ya something. I've never been here in all my years of living in Asheboro and I can say now with certainty that I greatly regret it.

I went with a simple seafood combo plate which came with some whitefish, oysters, shrimp, hushpuppies, and whatnot and it was all just so much.

I could only finish about half my plate but only because I was saving space for their banana pudding, which in my opinion, is worth going by itself.

The staff were all so wonderful, the location is quite nice and easy to get to, the only problem I did have was that it was so busy you have a bit of a hard time finding a parking spot.

Hit up Jed's. They make you feel welcome and definitely make your stomach feel like your visiting mom's for...
