Perhaps it is just a victim of the level of traffic and space it's in, but this is not the greatest Starbucks in town. Food, drink, the Starbucks standard, nothing was messed up in my order. But when I came in, it wasn't super crowded and at least four people were behind the counter and I was not acknowledged or greeted for probably two minutes. I don't mind waiting, but usually I get a "Hi, be with you in a minute" or somesuch so at least I know that someone realizes I am, in fact, waiting. Nothing, just people rushing around. It did look like there were a lot of mobile orders coming in, hence the bustle with not many occupants. Which was good, because there is like, zero flow or direction on how to approach the register or where to wait out of the way or anything. There seemed to be two entrances, but one is completely neglected due to its placement. Maybe trying to make sure one is a dedicated entrance and the other an exit could help. But instead I just kind of felt in the way as I waited. My drink was as good as any Starbucks, the pastry the same, but service and just, the chaos and lack of crowd management in a tiny building left me thinking next time I should go elsewhere or be one of those...
Read moreThe workers don’t want anyone to come here and want to go out of business so do little shady things as often as they can think and have the motivation to do like brew your coffee and not say when your order is up even when they know it’s yours and they know your right there so that while your distracted with the helpful fliers on the chalkboard your coffee gets cold and they try to make you and probably everyone not come back ever again, especially in secret. The workers I think may secretly hope and wish they get fired.
Also since they don’t want anyone to come here and customers I think to ever come back as much as possible, they avoid cleaning the bathrooms, I was there for 3 hours and the bathrooms were kept dirty and unsanitary w toilet paper and paper towels on the floor. Also even though they get money to be there they wanted me to pick up the trash on the floor. And they kept it there maybe also cause they thought it would make people upset and spend less time there and so the employees would not have to work as much with less customers...
Read moreI've never been the biggest fan of Starbucks, because coffee is coffee, to me....and no one will ever make better "joe' than my great grandmother (the daughter of born slaves) who taught her how to make it in a pot. Hers looked like tar, and I'd be bouncing off her ceiling and walls...but it was soooooo, damn good mixed with milk and honey.
But this particular Starbucks is near my place...a nice walk, especially on a day off, or usually for me, before or right after I get off work. And honestly, it ain't the coffee that really rocks my World..I prefer the hot chocolate or mango/dragon fruit--thing-a-ma-jiggy, anyway. It's how polite and respectful the help is. Yea...that does it for me, bro. Who the hell wants to pay a mortgage for coffee or whatever else, and put up with cranky baristas at the same time?...NOPE!..WRONG DUDE!...
But the staff, no matter the shift, has ALWAYS been polite and accommodating. So, I'll sometimes, stick around...whip out the laptop...and stay a couple of hrs, when the...
