Sara's Artisan Gelato - Green Bay — Restaurant in Ashwaubenon

First, I’m going to preface this with the fact that I’m a spoiled man. I have lived in Philadelphia, New York, LA, Washington D.C., Seattle, and Miami. All of these places have spectacular food cultures because the people that live there made the food while in their homelands from the time they were children.

Here in Wisconsin, the Ice Cream is amazing! Why? Of course because we’re in the heart of the Dairy Land of the world.

But Gelato is a little different. It can be as much an art as it is a science. And Sara’s is very good. It’s just not the caliber of the gelato that I personally have had. Again, I’m spoiled.

But, with all that said, I would be willing to bet that the average Sconnie will find Sara’s gelato to be delicious! The flavors are creative and the staff was all very nice. The place is immaculate! Which can be tough when serving children that are not the neatest eaters when it comes to cones.

We used Sara's Artisan Gelato as our wedding desert caterer! I worked with Johnny and he was the best to work with. He was very clear on the different catering options available + different gelato flavors. Day of wedding, he was prompt to arrive with the cutest gelato cart! The cart is quite large so there were some concerns on whether or not it would fit through the door - Johnny was very communicative on what he needed and also ensured regardless he would ensure our Gelato was served, which it was! Our guests loved the guest experience and all had great reviews on the gelato itself. If you're getting married in the Fox Cities or have another event you're looking for a unique experience, I can't recommend Sara's Artisan Gelato enough! We hope to use them in the future for...

Nobody greeted us when we walked in.. we stood up front for like 5 minutes before my friend waved some employees down that were in the back. I would suggest a bell on the counter? She said their doorbell is broken & apologized.. Aside from the waiting/ wondering upon arrival.. the gelato & waffle cones were amazing!

I have a severe allergy to strawberries & they had a strawberry Creme flavor gelato in the case.. the gal at the counter was so sweet and did her best to accommodate (using new/ clean scoops & scooping from the side so there would be no chance of cross contamination ).
