When my party of 3 (including myself) entered the restaurant we waited for about 3 minutes before anyone said anything to us. A gentleman walked up to us and asked us how many was in our party, I responded 3 and explained the other person was parking. There isnât much room for people to wait in the front of the restaurant so my husband and I tried to move out of the way by standing in front of the coffee bar part. At first the host looked like he was finding a table for us but then began cleaning off tables and running food to different tables. My husband and I stood in the front waiting for a table for about 20 minutes even after our last person who was parking arrived. With plenty of tables available and what looked like adequate staff, I found that quite strange but nevertheless was eager to be seated.
Once we were seated, our waitress promptly greeted our table and started taking drink orders which arrived shortly after she put them in. We ordered food pretty soon after to expedite our service. I simply ordered 2 pancakes and eggs which came with your choice of homes fries or grits and a meat which I ordered chicken sausage. My husband ordered chicken and waffles and our brother ordered French toast with eggs and an order of home fries and also chicken sausage.
While waiting for our food we noticed that everyone in the restaurant was sitting with no food at their table. We also noticed that none of these tables were seated at the same time, which to us indicated poor kitchen management. We also noticed that when they were running food to the one table that was receiving food, they ran it one dish at a time.
We waited about 50min to an hour before we received our food. When we did get our food it did all come out at once which was a great thing. The food looked good so we were hopeful it would taste better to make up for the long wait. Unfortunately, we were disappointed. My pancakes were hard on the bottom and really needed a knife to cut through. Typically pancakes should be soft enough to separate them with the side of a fork and eat them regularly. The grits were ok at best and had a slice of pepper jack cheese laid on top of it. The eggs were cold and the chicken sausage was at best ok. Everything on the plate was extremely underwhelming. My husband who ordered the chicken and waffles and my brother who had the French toast also complained about how hard their waffle and French toast was. My husbands chicken was really salty and cold .
We spent a total of $65 and added a $12 tip. I would not recommend this restaurant if youâre...

Picture this: itâs our last morning in Atlanta, our suitcases are zipped, our souls are tired, and all I can think about is shrimp, catfish, and gritsâlike a true Southern farewell hug. After a wild goose chase for the perfect spot, fate (and our growling stomachs) led us back to a place weâd casually driven by earlier in the week. And let me tell youâdivine intervention has never tasted so good.
It was Sunday morning and the place was poppinâ. I mean, grandmas in their Sunday hats, babies screaming for biscuits, couples in brunch-standoff modeâthe full brunch battlefield. The wait? 30 minutes. But somehow, miraculously, there were two golden thrones at the bar just waiting for us. We slid into those seats like two brunch royalty VIPs dodging the peasant line.
And thatâs when we met Johnnyâthe bartender, the legend, the brunch goddess in human form. Yâall. Johnny isnât just good at her jobâshe is the BeyoncĂ© of brunch bartending. She was slinging drinks, cracking jokes, vibing like sheâd had eight shots of espresso and an angelâs blessing. Despite being busier than a Waffle House on Christmas morning, she made us feel like her favorite cousins who just rolled in from outta town. I wanted to ask her to adopt me, but figured that might be a little much.
The food? Baby. The. Food. I got the shrimp and catfish over grits with a side of eggs and thought I was gonna have to be wheelbarrowed out of there. That plate came correctâflavor, texture, and portion like the chef was trying to fill a void in my heart, not just my stomach. I also got a chai latte that whispered sweet nothings to my soul and some beignets because my friend had never tried them. (Pause to gasp.) Spoiler alert: she now believes in miracles.
She ordered chicken and waffles (also for the first timeâdonât ask, I was shook too) and took it to-go. She devoured it at the airport like a woman possessed by the brunch gods, proclaiming it âlife-changingâ between bites and TSA announcements.
In conclusion: 10/10. Would wait again. Would skip the wait again. Would eat my way through the entire menu like itâs a personal mission from the Lord. If youâre ever in Atlanta and you donât stop here, I canât help you.
And Johnny? If youâre reading this: THANK YOU. You turned a basic travel day into a core memory. You didnât just serve foodâyou served joy, laughter, and Southern hospitality so warm Iâm still smiling about it. You deserve a raise, a billboard, and your own talk show.
Until next...
