I visited this establishment 1/19/25 around 8pm. Wish I never stopped in and I definitely wonāt be back! Wasnāt crowded and found seating quickly. It was about 10-15min before the server came over to introduce herself so we immediately ordered. The order was simple, fried shrimp, fried wings, and a bottled water. We didnāt see the server for another 15min and she didnāt have the bottled water so I kindly reminded her. After another 15min she came back around and said she didnāt forget the water, she was waiting on the bartender to get it (doesnāt quite make sense). It was about 45min later that we finally received a bottle of water. Maybe 10min after that the food came and it was not hot, felt like it had been sitting in the window for awhile. The server didnāt bring any silverware or condiments so we again had to wait. When she brought the condiments we immediately asked for boxes and the check, NEVER thought it would take over an hour to get fried shrimp and wings in a spot with very few people. Irritated and ready to go I quickly signed the receipt and realized the next day I was charged for an extra meal. I called the establishment spoke to a guy who claimed to be the manager and he said heād call me right back, 5hrs later no call. I call back and a female who claimed to be a manager, I believe Keyonna (could be wrong), put me on hold then hung up. I went up to the restaurant, found her and let her know who I was. She didnāt say a thing, no apology, nothing. She took my receipt and disappeared to the back. After about 10min she came back with $16 cash for a meal that was $16. I paid with my card and she refused to go into the POS system to properly correct the transaction which wouldāve adjusted my refund for both taxes and automatic gratuity. She looked as if she didnāt quite understand how that worked and said the owner himself instructed her to give me only $16 back and proceeded to walk off and pour drinks. Incompetent, rude, and unprofessional is how I would describe this entire experience. All this and the damn food wasnāt even good, my apologies, the yellow rice was on point. Upon sitting down it took a server at least 15 minutes to greet us. Once she greeted us we immediately ordered our food and a bottle of water. It took our waitress Dominique 45 minutes to bring the water. I had to remind her twice as she would disappear for long periods at a time. the second time I reminded her she claimed she was waiting on the bartender which is unacceptable, its water. After over an hour our food came out lukewarm with no condiments. We were already tired of waiting for such a long time so we immediately asked for boxes , the check and condiments AGAIN. Rushing to hurry and leave we didn't pay too much attention to the bill. The next day we look at the bill only to realize that we were charged for an additional meal that we never ordered or received. We called and received no assistance over the phone, so we decided to go to the restaurant. Spoke to a very rude and unhelpful "manager" who ignored my complaint and started making drinks instead. She then came back and gave me $16 cash (instructed to do so by the owner) which was the cost of the extra meal however, that doesn't include taxes or gratuity. I stated this to her and she ignored me to turn around to start making drinks again. I have worked in industry for 10 years of my life and this was a disgusting display of "Customer service" I would have been better off going to Zaxbys around the corner. I'd advise that if you appreciate good customer service and good food to take your money elsewhere. With service like this Im sure they won't last...

My hubby had a lemonade and I had a margarita(they didnāt have Patron silver only had REPOSADO.) She asked if we wanted the cole slaw(I thought it came with) I said yes. She brought it out and it was the size of the side of sauce. We just stoped in for a snack but wow. The chicken could have been fried longer. The fries were regular(but I know about that), slaw was good but I only had two bites. Then we get the bill. With gratuity already added. (Hubby and I are both in service industry so definitely donāt have a problem tipping). Iām like where does it say that? We looked at the menu. It was started but for āfour or more in a partyā. I asked Jasmine about it and she said āoh thatās old itās posted on the doorā (before coming in). Then said it should be posted there and throughout, sounding very unclear with her answer. So when I got up I looked all around and at the entrance area. And low and behold NO SIGNAGE ANYWHERE!!! About gratuity mean added to all checks. We let her know they need to update the menu before they have some serious problems. I DO NOT like when establishments try and take advantage of their patrons. NOT okay and I WONāT BE BACK!! Also, since Covid it seem that businesses have decide to just upcharge for things when and where ever and add gratuity...
