During the busy holiday season, I had dinner with two friends at Jalisco Mexican Restaurant in the Peachtree Battle Shopping Center. The food and service were excellent. We paid our bill and went home when I discovered I had lost my wallet which contained cash, credit cards, drivers license and social security card.
After checking any other place I could have left it the restaurant had closed, so I waited til the next morning to check with them.
The restaurant had not opened but after knocking the lady inside answered.
She had not worked the previous night and checked but nothing had been turned in. I left my name and number and went home where I had a call waiting that they had found my wallet. I immediately returned and met the gentleman who had found the wallet when the restaurant had closed and he was cleaning. He explained he took it home to take care as he had no safe place to leave it and brought it in when he came to work. Nothing had been taken out of the wallet.
These folks went out of their way to help me as it would have been very difficult fo cancel and replace everything.
Please keep this restaurant in mind the next time you want Mexican food. I recommend this restaurant as the food and service are excellent and the owners and workers are honest and take care of...
Read moreThis place is AMAZING! We got the golden enchiladas and a pink lemonade to go. Fast polite service and the food was just the flat out best Mexican food I have had this side of the border and DEFINITELY in Atlanta. The restaurant had a pleasant, quaint, mildly mexican decor but not so much that it feels like it's trying too hard, it nails authenticity across the boards.
Portions are generous, the rice and beans are delicious even the chips and salsa stood out where for most mexican restaurant they are nothing to write home about. Bravo to the whole staff, very welcoming and informed about their menu options. Seems family run, no spoiled teenagers on summer break from college irritated to be taking your order, rather a staff of people who you can tell don't just care about the food but about their customers.
While I was waiting I perused their wall of pictures and noticed a couple pics with families of customers first as young families and then again 15 or 20 years later. No wonder these folks have been in buisness that long and kept customers that loyal, they get how a restaurant is...
Read moreI’m new to Atlanta and I’m always looking for a good Mexican restaurant to eat . I found this place while working in the area and thought I would try it out , I got there at 11:00 just as they opened lady in front greeted me and told me I can sit anywhere I wanted . I sat for about 5 minutes waiting on a menu when some locals came in and they sat them down and they took there food and drink order before me . I actually had to ask the lady for a menu and I got up and got menu . I quickly realized they cater to locals only . When I looked at the menu I was disappointed I was looking for an authentic Mexican meal . This is more like a Tex Mex menu , The Name Jalisco is what made me come in, thought they would have some traditional plates that come from Jalisco like Pozole, birria , barbacoa, or even a good enchilada and not the deep fried taco more known as “taquitos “ . The Locals Can keep...
