I wish I could give this a 0 I was extremely disappointed with my experience at Lucky China 8 Chinese Restaurant in Atlanta, Ga. The food was not only subpar, but it was honestly the nastiest and most inedible food I have ever put in my mouth. It was a complete waste of money and a huge disappointment for me and my office. To begin, my colleagues and I ordered 5 combination plates and an order of crab rangoons. The total for this was $70 and we were asked how much we wanted to tip, which was a bit of a surprise since I had placed the order over the phone and picked it up myself. The restaurant's location also left something to be desired - as soon as I arrived, I couldn't help but feel a sense of unease and hope that the food would be better than the appearance of the establishment. In terms of the food itself, it was a complete disaster. I ordered the beef with broccoli, with extra meat and extra rice and no broccoli. Unfortunately, what I received was small portions of rice and a pitifully small amount of beef that had bones in it. The beef tasted like it had been sitting in the fridge for days and the fried rice was so bad, it was almost comical. It was clearly not freshly made and it tasted like it had been microwaved with some soy sauce added. The crab rangoons were also a disappointment, they were not freshly made and tasted like they were at least a week old. Also, the combination plates were not any better, most of the dishes were over salted and it was clear that the ingredients were not of good quality. All in all, I would strongly advise anyone thinking of visiting Lucky China 8 Chinese Restaurant in Atlanta, Ga to steer clear and find another Chinese restaurant in the area. The food was inedible, overpriced, and the service was not up to par. It's a complete waste of money and it was not worth the time and effort to go pick it up.

PLEASE SAVE YOUR MONEY! This place needs to be investigated by the health department & better business bureau. And I mean that with every fiber in my body. We were so excited to finally have a Chinese restaurant that delivers to our neighborhood. I should’ve know that the flyer in the door meant they had bad business. Kicking myself for not reading the reviews. The crab ragoons STALE & tasted like burnt old grease — INEDIBLE! The spring rolls were completely BURNT & inedible. The chicken didn’t taste like chicken. One bite and I spit it out! I never wanted to believe the stories about Chinese restaurants cooking rats and pretending it was chicken, but honestly I wouldn’t be surprised if this place did. Absolutely DISGUSTING food taste & quality. My daughters are NOT picky eaters & they wouldn’t take more than one bite. They REFUSED to eat their food besides the broccoli. I was treated like I was lying when I called and told them how burnt everything was. So I immediately sent pictures and videos to the manager. I doubt I’ll even get a response. Please please please HEED my warning. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS SO CALLED RESTAURANT. You will be sadly disappointed. And might even get food poisoning. Everyone needs to call the health department & report this place. I know I am.

Strike number one was the fact that we ordered delivery at 7 and our food didn’t get here till 9 o’clock. It took two hours for them to get us our food and once it got here, it was cold. We ordered beef fried rice and they gave us regular fried rice and we were up charged for it. We got egg drop soup and it taste like dishwater. Overall, the meal was disgusting. It was late and it was cold. We will never be going back here. Also, they think they slick by having one name on the brochures they hand out at peoples doors so you can’t leave them a bad review I’m gonna tell you. On the brochures it’s called new China Chinese restaurant but it’s these people here. I wasn’t gonna leave a review and my boyfriend is not one to complain, but he was very adamant that I write this review for them because he was very disappointed in the service and the food. Also our fortune cookies had the same fortune like do all the fortune cookies have the same fortune?

FLIES! Do NOT, I repeat DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE. I ordered a 6pc shrimp and an order of the Sesame Chicken with fried rice. I placed my order at 10:15pm and was quoted an eta of 45mins: my order arrived at 12:06am, almost 2hrs after the order was placed. Mind you I’m 12mins from the location. Not only did I have to wait 2 hrs but when I did begin to eat my fried shrimp I noticed a black speck in the batter. Upon further investigation it appeared to be a FLY or Japanese beetle INSIDE the fry batter! I was so disgusted and immediately called the restaurant to ask for a refund. The manager decided to argue me down about not providing a refund after i explained to him what happened and how I didn’t trust the rest of the meal. He never apologized for the inconvenience and and abruptly hung up the phone after begrudgingly claiming he’d refund the entire meal. Save your time and money and order Chinese from elsewhere.

Ordered crabmeat rangoon and general tso’s shrimp with fried rice at 7:11 pm i did not recieve my order until 9pm. The website said that delivery only took 45 minutes. When I got my order, I had to call the driver to come back because he gave me the wrong order. Then when he gave me my order, it was still the wrong order. When I tried to call the restaurant back and the hostess kept hanging up the phone on me, and when I kept calling the manager back, he would not answer, even though I sent him a picture and message saying that my order was wrong. I didn’t have to pay a coworker to take me up to the restaurant so that they could get my order correct because they gave me chicken which I do not eat chicken. When I asked them why they were ignoring me and hanging up the phone they said it was because they were busy. I would not recommend this restaurant. I will never come to this Chinese business again.

Received the worst service ever for the first time of ordering from the restaurant. Wanted my food cooked a certain way as far as the vegetables, they was basically raw. On top of the meal I ordered ova the phone. I was informed of getting 6 whole wings ova the phone and end up getting 6 chicken wings 9.95 with chicken friend rice with a surcharge for the chicken. I could’ve got a flavored wing meal with a two dollar charge for rice or fries. Two extra wings, the bill was 38.50 at first. I called to change my mind and say I’ll just go locally and get it cheaper, the owner went from 35, to 30 dollars. On top of saying it’ll be 35 min till they come but end up pulling up 10 min later. Please do not buy here, if your African American especially, please, send these ppl out out neighborhoods, send em away and come together and make our own Chinese and wing restaurant for us.
