They highlight Samuel Inman-owned large cotton house. I wonder who was working the cotton house and at what wage… Open late dive bar. Dark and moody inside. Football jerseys up and Atl heritage nicely placed. Not so large with seating but doesn’t feel small at all. Good seats. Found street parking easily. I noticed the great prices right away.
The wings were cooked well but I asked for added lemon pepper to the Jack Daniels wings and they were very salty. I shouldn’t have combined them or told them to put on the side. I was expecting sprinkles not for it to be drowned in lemon pepper. Good wings just get one flavor.
I love that you can build a burger. Good options for hooking it up and trying some things. Burger was 10/10. Perfectly cooked and seasoned. The tots were good. I wanted more Onion to breading ration in the onion rings. The burger comes with a good pickle spear but when I asked for extra pickles, they give you the thin sliced cheap great value ones. She didn’t mention that it cost for extra pickles, but it was $.75 and I would appreciate a heads up. Also on my receipt, there was an extra dollar charge for a blue cheese dressing that we didn’t ask for. She gave me the $1 back. Thanks.
I’d come here to eat and drink again. Our server could have told us her name, welcome to the establishment, have we been here before, any questions about the menu, any allergens, she was moving fast, passing our table often even when she was asking us if we were good, and when she was dropping off the check. I left a premium tip still cause she’s my Sistah. I’m not saying she was mean to us or anything-I’m just saying it looked like she was ready to go or had other things on her mind which...
Read moreThis place is definitely not for black or brown people. My fiancé and I (both black) met one of his old coworkers and his wife who were passing through (Indians). From the moment we walked in it was made clear that we were not wanted there. The guy at the bar stopped by and quickly asked, 'What are you drinking?" While flipping the menu over to see if drinks were listed there he walked off immediately. Not a "hey, there isn't a drink menu", "We offer...", or "Hey, I'll give you all some time to review the menu and come back" Nothing. Just gone. Comes back we just order water and a coke, because clearly we have to hurry. We order, and the food comes out staggered. I would highly recommend getting something fried. My Caesar salad had way too much dressing and the salmon wasn't even cooked completely, nor was it seasoned. We didn't finish our food. Which when I was a bartender, I would always ask my customers if everything was okay or what was wrong with the meal. He didn't care at all and he made it clear. Don't even know his name, he didn't introduce himself. He never once refilled our drinks. Didn't even offer to do so. However, he was very friendly and personable with his customers whose skin looked like his. I think it would save everyone some time if this business would simply put up a sign that says Private Pub, or No black or brown people allowed. Again, I only had interactions with this one bartender, so maybe he just doesn't like black people. FYI I never write reviews, but this was a...
Read moreSmall neighborhood pub with good food and service. As for entertainment there is a jukebox and several t.v.'s that are always displaying various sports. The pub is classic and cozy, featuring a standard bar and chairs configuration with booths opposite the bar and a few high top tables and chairs toward the rear of the bar. However, many people enjoy gathering outside on the narrow sidewalk with their favorite beverage as they smoke, chat, enjoy the weather and surroundings. It should be noted that this is one of the few bars that permits smoking inside, however it is only allowed after certain time in the evening, during the day it...
